How much does the 2021 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 5.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 926 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2021 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Mazda CX-30 earns 4.8/5 from owners and 7.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its sporty design, interior quality, and driving dynamics, and many also like the luxury feel you get at an affordable price. That lines up with the overview’s focus on a more premium feel, stylish design, and everyday satisfaction. The main trade-offs are poor handling and fairly pedestrian performance, plus poor visibility. If you want a small crossover that emphasizes polish, comfort, and upscale appeal more than sharp dynamics, it fits that use case well. Good and great deals account for 36.7% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about keeping, with praise for its quality, driving dynamics, and overall satisfaction. That kind of response suggests you can count on it for a positive ownership experience if you choose a well-kept example. The expert review also frames it as a polished, confidence-inspiring small SUV rather than a fragile or overly complicated one. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not worn hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Mazda CX-30?

At 74.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on condition, repair quality, and signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership more than the odometer alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin presentation is a major differentiator, with upscale materials and stitched surfaces helping the CX-30 feel more premium. Premium and Premium Plus trims add black or white leather, while the standard setup uses leatherette upholstery.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder pairs with a six-speed automatic and standard i-Activ all-wheel drive. It delivers strong acceleration and responsive power delivery, though fuel economy is only average for the class.
• Safety package: Every CX-30 Turbo includes i-ActiveSense advanced driver-assistance systems. Premium trim adds adaptive front lighting, while Premium Plus adds front and rear parking sensors, rear automatic braking, a surround-view camera, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The dashboard features an 8.8-inch display, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Mazda Connected Services with remote engine start and vehicle finder. Premium and Premium Plus add SiriusXM, navigation, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and an Active Driving Display.
• Fuel efficiency: The CX-30 Turbo is rated at 25 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2021 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 1 trim level: CX-30 Turbo.

Here's the short version:

The CX-30 Turbo is the trim described in the data, and it brings the model’s premium design, strong acceleration, standard all-wheel drive, and broad safety equipment together in one package. It suits you best if you want the upscale feel and stronger powertrain without stepping into a luxury-brand SUV. Premium and Premium Plus add more convenience and tech, but the core appeal is already present in the Turbo setup. The safety package starts with i-ActiveSense, and higher trims layer on more driver-assistance and parking features.
