What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Lexus LC?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the condition of the body, interior, and electronics, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained. Focus especially on signs of wear that could undermine the car’s luxury feel or grand touring comfort.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard equipment includes triple-beam LED headlights, LED taillights, a glass roof with sunshade on the coupe, 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, heated-and-cooled front seats, and a 10.3-inch navigation display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Touring Package adds an Alcantara headliner, heated steering wheel, embossed seats, parking assistant, and the Mark Levinson 13-speaker sound system.
• Powertrain: The LC 500 uses a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned for confident, refined power rather than hard-edged performance.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ is standard and includes collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, dynamic cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Intuitive Park Assist with Auto Brake is optional.
• Infotainment: The LC uses a 10.3-inch digital screen with Lexus Enform and trackpad control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but the setup is still less intuitive than a touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The LC 500 Coupe returns 16 mpg city, 25 highway, and 19 combined. The LC 500 Convertible returns 15 mpg city, 25 highway, and 18 combined.

Which 2021 Lexus LC trim should I buy?

The 2021 Lexus LC is offered in 1 trim level: LC 500.

Here's the short version:

The LC 500 is the trim to focus on because it already gives you the LC’s core appeal: the V8 powertrain, dramatic styling, strong standard equipment, and the grand touring character that defines the car. If you want the best-value path into the model, this is the one to target, then decide whether the Touring Package or other options are worth the extra cost for your needs.

The safety package is standard on the LC 500, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get Lexus Safety System+.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Lexus LC?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.49% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 81.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $98,924, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Lexus LC's resale value?

The current average of $105,668 sits slightly above last year's $98,305.

That upward move suggests the LC has held buyer interest well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A model with rising prices can be easier to move when demand stays healthy, especially when it has a strong image and limited inventory. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, the current trend supports a relatively resilient resale story.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Lexus LC safe?

The 2021 Lexus LC earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ comes standard, and it includes collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, dynamic cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. That gives you a strong baseline of driver assistance features without needing to add a package.

One caveat is visibility, especially in the convertible, where the massive rear pillars create large blind spots. That means you should pay close attention to sightlines during a test drive and make sure the car’s visibility works for your driving environment.

Should I buy a 2021 Lexus LC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.49% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model year adds the convertible variant, reinforcing the LC’s comfortable, luxurious grand touring focus.

The bottom line: If you want the LC’s blend of style, V8 power, and grand touring comfort, the 2021 is the right target. If you are shopping mainly on price, you can still compare nearby years, but the 2021 stands out for its broader appeal and strong owner satisfaction.
