Used 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe cost?

Prices have softened 18.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,308 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the blend of power and comfort, along with the electric and turbo features that sharpen performance. The interior also comes through as family-friendly and well-equipped, which helps the 4xe feel more usable than its rugged image might suggest.

The trade-offs are clear: the electric range is limited, the vehicle is noisy, and handling is poor. That means you should think of it as a distinctive plug-in hybrid SUV for buyers who value capability and character more than refinement.

The market still shows 37.1% good or great deals, so there is room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with strong enthusiasm around its powertrain and comfort. The review summary also highlights a family-friendly, well-equipped interior, which supports the idea that this is a vehicle people can live with over time.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the plug-in hybrid setup as a practical way to combine electric driving with the Wrangler’s core capability. Jeep’s complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years also helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about whether the vehicle has been maintained carefully enough to preserve its hybrid and off-road systems.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because the 4xe combines a plug-in hybrid system with Wrangler-specific hardware, so condition and maintenance history are especially important.

Focus on how the vehicle has been used, whether charging equipment and hybrid functions work properly, and whether the cabin and exterior show signs of hard off-road use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Rubicon trim adds a more capable off-road setup, while the Sahara and High Altitude trims are also offered. The base setup still includes the Wrangler’s purposeful simplicity, but the Rubicon’s extra hardware makes it the most trail-focused choice.
• Powertrain: The 4xe pairs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 17-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. It delivers 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque in Hybrid mode, with an estimated 21 miles of pure electric driving and 49 MPGe combined.
• Safety package: The Safety Group includes blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control with full-stop capability, full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect system uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen and includes Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, SiriusXM Guardian connected services with a free one-year subscription, and available WiFi.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates the Wrangler 4xe at 20 mpg combined as a hybrid, and the battery provides an estimated 21 miles of electric driving with 49 MPGe combined.

Which 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is offered in 3 trim levels: Rubicon, Sahara, High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Rubicon: This is the most capable choice if you want the most off-road hardware, including the upgraded four-wheel drive system with electronic front and rear lockers. It suits you best if trail use matters more than price.
• Sahara: This is the trim to consider if you want the 4xe experience at a lower starting point. It gives you the plug-in hybrid setup and Wrangler character without moving all the way up to the Rubicon’s more specialized equipment.
• High Altitude: This is the most upscale-sounding option in the lineup, and it fits you if you want the 4xe’s hybrid powertrain with a more premium-feeling presentation.

The Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group are available safety-package add-ons, so check whether the listing you’re considering includes the driver-assistance features you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,308 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,256, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe's resale value?

The current average of $25,256 sits slightly below last year's $31,065.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean example with strong equipment and a solid history, because those are the listings most likely to stay attractive. The current pricing also means there may be less room for appreciation than there was a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe safe?

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe earns a Marginal IIHS result for small-overlap frontal-impact protection for the driver, and the NHTSA gives it four-star frontal-impact crash-test ratings and a three-star rating for its ability to resist a rollover in a collision.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep bundles its driver-assistance features into the Safety Group and the Advanced Safety Group. Together, they include blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with full-stop capability, full-speed forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights.

The safety picture is mixed because the Wrangler’s headlights rate no better than Marginal from IIHS, while the standard headlights are rated Poor. The small-overlap frontal result is also a notable caveat for used buyers, so you should pay close attention to crash history and repair quality.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for its plug-in hybrid setup, electric-motor torque, and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the Wrangler 4xe’s distinctive plug-in hybrid character and you can find a clean, fairly priced example, the 2021 is the right path to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping listings carefully and prioritize the cleanest, best-equipped vehicle you can find rather than stretching for a higher-priced example.
