Used 2021 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearLubbock, TX

How much does the 2021 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 7.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,085 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, off-road capability, and unique design, and many also like its powerful performance and comfortable interior. The Gladiator’s open-air personality and distinctive styling make it especially appealing if you want a truck that feels different from a conventional midsize pickup.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy, poor ride quality, and poor handling. That means it fits you best if you value character, utility, and adventure appeal more than everyday refinement.

The Gladiator’s lifestyle-focused setup makes the most sense if you want pickup practicality with a strong personality, and 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels rugged, dependable, and capable of handling the kind of use buyers expect from a Jeep-branded pickup. The diesel edition also gets praise for its strong performance, which reinforces the sense that this model is built for buyers who want something they can count on for work and play.

The expert review also highlights the Gladiator’s durable, purpose-built character, and it notes free scheduled maintenance during the first three years or 36,000 miles of ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a truck with this much personality can also come with higher ownership costs if it has been used hard or modified heavily.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a truck with off-road appeal may have seen harder use than a typical commuter vehicle. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on wear from trail use, signs of modification, and the condition of the interior and exterior. Pay close attention to whether the truck’s equipment matches the trim and options you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport starts with a 5-inch display, crank windows, and the most basic top, while Sport S gets the better infotainment setup and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add more comfort and luxury, and the Overland can be equipped with the forward-facing Trail Cam.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter gasoline V6 is joined by a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 for 2021. The diesel brings strong low-end torque and noticeably better fuel economy than the gas engine, but it is not available on the Mojave.
• Safety package: The truck comes standard with a reversing camera, while adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams are available depending on trim and equipment. Base trims leave you with very little beyond the camera.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 5-inch display, while the available Uconnect 4 setup brings a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Uconnect 4C system adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, connected services, remote start, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel returned 22.6 mpg in testing, and the standard V6 returned 20.3 mpg in a highway-heavy test drive.

Which 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the least expensive way into the Gladiator, but it is very bare-bones, with a 5-inch display, crank windows, and the most basic top. It makes sense if you want the Gladiator experience at the lowest entry price and plan to add your own gear later.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the better Uconnect 4 system with a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want the most useful mix of price and everyday convenience, start here.
• Willys: This trim adds a blacked-out grille, limited-slip rear differential, rock rails, and 32-inch all-terrain tires. It suits you if you want a more trail-ready look and hardware without jumping to the top of the lineup.
• Overland: This trim leans more toward comfort and equipment, and it is the first trim to get the forward-facing Trail Cam. It is a good fit if you want a more upscale Gladiator with added convenience and visibility aids.
• High Altitude: This is the luxury-oriented choice, with body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather. It fits you best if you want the most polished Gladiator experience.

The safety package is still limited on lower trims, so if advanced driver-assistance features matter to you, make sure the specific truck you’re considering is equipped accordingly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,085 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,186, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $30,186 sits slightly below last year's $32,717.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can put some pressure on future resale if you sell in the near term. On the other hand, the Gladiator’s distinctive appeal and strong enthusiast following can help support demand when you eventually list it. If you keep the truck in clean condition and avoid heavy wear, it should remain attractive to the right kind of buyer.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup is minimal, with a reversing camera and little else. Depending on trim and equipment, you can add adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. The blind-spot system is especially useful because the side mirrors are narrow.

The main caveat is that the truck’s crash-test picture is limited and the rollover rating is only three stars, so you should prioritize a well-equipped example if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a new turbo-diesel engine option, available full-time four-wheel drive, fresh special-edition models, and free scheduled maintenance.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,640, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,186 average.
• It combines midsize pickup utility with strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped and more current version, the 2021 is the stronger pick because it brings meaningful updates and still has a healthy supply of listings. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
