The Jaguar E-Pace is a sporty subcompact SUV that combines engaging driving dynamics with the utility of a crossover. The E-Pace was introduced for the 2018 model year and gets updated for 2021 with a refreshed grille, headlights, and front bumper design. The E-Pace also features an updated steering wheel design and a refreshed dash design.
At the heart of the updated dash is Jaguar’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, housed in an 11.4-inch curved HD touchscreen. It features crisp graphics and over-the-air (OTA) software updates, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The E-Pace is also available with a head-up display (HUD) and a fully digital instrument panel.
Trims for the E-Pace are P250, P250 SE, and 300 Sport. All three trims feature 22.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded, the E-Pace provides up to 49.5 cubic feet of cargo space.
The P250 comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, perforated leather seating, 12-way power-adjustable heated front seats, a Meridian premium sound system, and wireless device charging. The P250 SE trim adds 19-inch wheels, automatic high beams, and a power liftgate. The range-topping 300 Sport adds unique exterior elements, 20-inch wheels, fog lights, a premium leather steering wheel, and premium leather sport seats with contrast stitching.
The E-Pace comes standard with driver-assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, front-and-rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree surround-view monitor. The SE trim adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic assist, and traffic-sign recognition.
The P250 and P250 SE are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology. It puts out 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The 300 Sport is also powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. It does not have a mild-hybrid setup but boasts 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Both engines route power through a nine-speed automatic transmission to standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
EPA fuel-economy estimates for the P250 are 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. The 300 Sport returns an estimated 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. Both engines require premium fuel.
