About 2023 Jaguar E-PACE
The E-Pace is a newer addition to the Jaguar’s lineup, slotting in under the larger, more expensive F-Pace. It got a few meaningful updates for 2023, but it rolls into the new model year mostly unchanged from 2022. The 2023 E-Pace gets adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality as standard, and Jaguar now offers a new Premium Black appearance package with exclusive wheels and black exterior trim. The SUV is available in one main configuration for 2023, with standard all-wheel drive (AWD). The E-Pace SE P250 AWD gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 246 horsepower and sends it to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Though small and luxurious, the E-Pace offers legitimate capability. It can tow up to 2,968 pounds when properly equipped, which is plenty for a small boat or trailer. It offers a 7-second zero-to-60-mph time and a top speed of 142 mph, too, so it’s a lively performer in addition to bringing the practicality. Jaguar does not offer a high-performance variant of the E-Pace as it does with the F-Pace, so no rowdy SVR models here. Even so, the E-Pace feels light on its feet, and its four-cylinder engine is no slouch. Jag equips the E-Pace with an 11.4-inch touchscreen running its newest Pivi Pro infotainment interface. The new system is more responsive and requires fewer touches to accomplish simple tasks, such as changing a radio station or setting. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with wireless smartphone charging, a Meridian premium audio system, navigation, and Jaguar’s online connected apps feature with a trial subscription. Synthetic leather comes standard, and the driver’s seat offers 12-way adjustability with heating. Though it’s advertised as a five-seater, the E-Pace has a center rear seat that can only be described as hard and cramped. It should be reserved for children or shorter trips. The SUV offers 22.4 cubic feet of storage behind the second row and up to 49.5 cubic feet with the back seat folded flat. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) doesn’t crash test every vehicle from every manufacturer, especially not from lower-volume luxury automakers like Jaguar. It’s for this reason that the E-Pace lacks full IIHS safety ratings. The Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Programs), though, rated the 2017 E-Pace five stars. Every E-Pace comes standard with a rearview camera, traffic-sign recognition and adaptive speed limiting, blind-spot assist with rear cross-traffic alerts, a driver condition monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, parking aids, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warnings. The 2023 Jaguar E-Pace starts at $48,000 before taxes, options, and destination. Buyers can push that price up quickly with options such as $650 premium paint, the $3,000 Premium Black package, a $450 Meridian surround-sound system, a $1,450 Dynamic Handling Package, a $950 cold weather pack, and more. The 2023 E-Pace is on sale now and can be configured on Jaguar’s website.
