Used 2021 INFINITI QX50 for Sale nearBoston, MA

How much does the 2021 INFINITI QX50 cost?

Prices have softened 16.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 510 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX50 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 INFINITI QX50 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

It stands out as a value-minded luxury crossover with accessible entry-level pricing, a quiet cabin, a stylish design, and a great ride quality. The trade-offs are poor handling and sluggish performance, and the technology feels dated compared with newer rivals.

You should think of it as a comfort-first luxury SUV that fits best if you want a premium feel without stretching too far upmarket. 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX50 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The QX50’s reliability case is helped by its broad standard safety equipment and its smooth, quiet powertrain behavior. The VC-Turbo setup is designed to balance power and efficiency by adjusting compression ratio, and the transmission is described as settled and refined for everyday use.

It also includes a standard WiFi hotspot and ProPilot Assist on all but the base trim, which adds to day-to-day usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the model’s older-feeling technology and CVT-based powertrain may be less appealing if you want a more modern driving experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI QX50?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report, then prioritize a close inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and tech, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from Pure to Autograph, and the biggest gaps show up in comfort, convenience, and tech. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to which driver-assistance and infotainment features are missing before deciding whether the lower price is worth it.
• Powertrain: The QX50 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT, and the VC-Turbo setup is meant to balance power and efficiency by adjusting compression ratio. It is smooth and quiet, but the driving character is not especially quick.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assistance, and it is standard on all but the base Pure trim. Standard safety equipment also includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, rearview monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist.
• Infotainment: Essential and higher trims get Infiniti’s InTouch system with dual displays, including an 8-inch upper screen and a 7-inch lower screen. Apple CarPlay works well, and the vehicle also offers a WiFi hotspot and a 16-speaker Bose audio system on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The QX50 is rated at 22 mpg city, 28 highway, and 25 combined.

Which 2021 INFINITI QX50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI QX50 is offered in 5 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Essential, Sensory, Autograph.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest price and are comfortable giving up some convenience and driver-assistance content. It is the trim to compare first if your priority is simply getting into the QX50 at the lowest cost.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a huge panoramic moonroof, roof rails, LED fog lights, heated front seats, remote start, and ProPilot Assist. If you want the strongest mix of comfort and useful features without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to focus on.
• Essential: This trim adds heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, road sign recognition, navigation, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system. It is a smart choice if you want more everyday convenience and parking help.
• Sensory: This trim brings 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive headlights, reverse-tilting side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a head-up display, and Bose audio with 16 speakers. It is the best fit if you want the most balanced blend of comfort and technology, and it is the trim the cost-effectiveness section recommends.
• Autograph: This is the top trim and adds tri-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, a power hands-free liftgate, ambient cabin lighting, direct adaptive steering, rear sunshades, and semi-aniline leather seating. Choose it if you want the most luxury content and are willing to pay for it.

Also note that lane-departure prevention and blind-spot intervention are standard on all but the base Pure trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard on Essential and higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI QX50?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 510 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,832, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI QX50's resale value?

The current average of $19,832 sits slightly below last year's $23,826.

That price drop suggests the QX50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current average or below, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to original market levels.

The model’s value proposition is strongest when you factor in its comfort, standard safety equipment, and premium feel. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX50 safe?

The 2021 INFINITI QX50 earns Good ratings from IIHS for moderate overlap front and side crash protection, and it earns four-star ratings for rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot warning, predictive forward-collision warning and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, automatic collision notification, emergency call, rearview monitor, hill-start assist, and high-beam assist. ProPilot Assist is standard on all but the base Pure trim, and lane-departure prevention plus blind-spot intervention are also standard on all but the base trim.

The main caveat is that NHTSA did not test it for full crashworthiness, so the available federal result is limited to rollover resistance.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI QX50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Among the highlights are more safety equipment throughout the trim level lineup, a standard WiFi hotspot, and increased availability of the automaker's ProPilot Assist suite of driver-assistance features.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better pick if you want the updated safety and tech content at a softened used-car price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully for a lower-mileage example, but the 2021’s combination of value, comfort, and standard equipment makes it the cleaner choice for most buyers.
