How much does the 2021 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 15.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 305 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, classy interior, and the blend of luxury and sporty driving feel. The handling and ride quality also come up as positives, reinforcing the car’s appeal if you want style and driving character.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels dated, and some owners wish for better cabin noise levels and more features in earlier versions. In use-case terms, this is a sedan that makes the most sense if you value design and driving enjoyment more than the newest cabin tech or maximum practicality.

With 22.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Q50 as dependable and trouble-free in the ways that matter most for everyday use, with long-term ownership confidence tied to its strong performance and solid overall experience. The expert review also points to a solid reputation for reliability and notes that the car’s powertrain and chassis feel robust in normal driving.

Infiniti’s four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty also help support ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and maintenance costs can matter more than the car’s core mechanical appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a sportier setup. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, brake condition, and whether the cabin electronics and driver-assist features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pure trim is the entry point, while Luxe adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and an Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system; Sensory and Red Sport 400 add a sportier-looking front bumper with larger air intakes, and Red Sport models also get red brake calipers and 19-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission, making 300 horsepower in most trims and 400 hp in the Red Sport 400.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, while adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor are added on the Luxe trim; models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio, and Sensory and Red Sport 400 models add a 16-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Most rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, while all-wheel-drive versions are rated at 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway; the Red Sport 400 is rated at 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, Red Sport 400.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q50 experience with standard forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and are comfortable skipping the extra driver-assist and convenience features found higher up.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system. If you want the most useful everyday upgrades without jumping into the sportier and pricier trims, this is the one to target.
• Sensory: This trim adds a sportier-looking front bumper with larger air intakes and a 16-speaker Bose audio system. It suits you if you want a more upscale feel and stronger audio equipment without going all the way to the performance-focused model.
• Red Sport 400: This is the sportiest version, with 400 hp, red brake calipers, 19-inch wheels, and the same Bose audio system. It’s the right pick if performance is your priority and you’re willing to trade away some value for the top-spec driving experience.

Safety equipment is not fully standardized across the lineup, so the Luxe trim is the key step up if you want the most important driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 22.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 305 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,623, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $20,820 sits slightly below last year's $24,533.

That decline suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you’re planning to resell later, the current market gives you a lower entry point, but the car’s age and dated tech may continue to weigh on long-term demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but “Average” and “Marginal” ratings for headlights, and it only showed five stars in rollover crash tests from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, but adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system require stepping up from the base Pure trim to the Luxe trim. Models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.

The headlight ratings are the main caveat here, since they keep the Q50 from being a standout safety pick despite its strong crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 22.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model adds a new Sensory trim level, more driver-assist tech, and a built-in WiFi hotspot.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with the added 2021 updates, the 2021 Q50 is the better starting point. If your main goal is to minimize purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth considering, but you should still prioritize condition, equipment, and accident history over model-year differences.
