How much does the 2021 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 15.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 306 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, the classy interior, and the sporty driving feel. The review summary also points to a blend of luxury and athletic character, which lines up with the car’s strong engine and engaging road manners.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, and some owners wish for better cabin noise levels and more transparency in pricing. In context, this is a sedan that fits you best if you want style and speed more than the latest tech or the most polished luxury experience.

Only 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some value opportunities but still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling car with strong performance and a reputation for being enjoyable to live with over time. That same feedback also emphasizes the car’s classy interior and the sense that it delivers a solid ownership experience when you value driving character.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the Q50 as competitively priced and well equipped, with a strong twin-turbo V6 and a chassis that feels agile and solid on the highway. Infiniti also backs the car with a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and dated technology can make the car feel less current than rivals, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a lower-than-average price. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the car’s equipment and features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Pure models are the most basic, while Luxe adds more convenience and driver-assist equipment; Sensory and Red Sport 400 bring a sportier look, with Red Sport models adding carbon-fiber exterior touches, red brake calipers, and 19-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission, with 300 horsepower in most trims and 400 hp in the Red Sport 400.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, while adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system are added on Luxe; models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio; Sensory and Red Sport 400 models add a 16-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Most rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, while all-wheel-drive versions are rated at 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway; the Red Sport 400 is rated at 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, Red Sport 400.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q50 experience at the lowest price, but you’ll want to check whether the missing convenience and driver-assist features are acceptable for your needs.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor, making it the most balanced choice.
• Sensory: This trim adds a more upscale feel and includes the 16-speaker Bose audio system, so it suits you if you want more comfort and sound quality without jumping all the way to the performance model.
• Red Sport 400: This is the performance-focused choice, with the 400-hp version of the twin-turbo V6, sportier exterior details, and the most aggressive personality in the lineup.

For safety equipment, you need to move up from Pure to Luxe to get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 306 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,614, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $20,653 sits slightly below last year's $24,482.

That decline suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be good news if you’re buying now and less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the upside is that the car’s current pricing may help it stay attractive to value-focused shoppers who want a luxury sedan with strong performance.

The challenge is that resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained, especially because the model’s age and dated tech can work against it. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2021 Infiniti Q50 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but “Average” and “Marginal” ratings for headlights. At the time of publication, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) hadn’t released full safety ratings for the 2021 Q50, only showing five stars in rollover crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, but you have to upgrade from the base Q50 Pure trim level to the Q50 Luxe to get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-departure warning. The Luxe trim level also adds an Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system.

Models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control, which helps keep the car centered in its lane. The main caveat is the headlight performance, which trails the otherwise strong crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model year brought a new Sensory trim level, more driver-assist tech, and a built-in WiFi hotspot.

The bottom line: If you want a stylish, performance-oriented luxury sedan and you’re shopping used, the 2021 Q50 makes sense when you find a clean example with the right equipment. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still shop nearby years, but the 2021 stands out for its updated trim lineup and added tech.
