How much does the 2021 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 14.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 342 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — with a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating, the 2021 INFINITI Q50 lands as a strong choice if you value style and performance over pure practicality. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, the classy interior, and the sporty driving feel. The review summary also points to the impressive 400-hp engine, plus handling and ride quality that make the car feel like a blend of luxury and sportiness.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the technology feels outdated, earlier-model feature content can be sparse by modern standards, and cabin noise is a recurring complaint. In the context of the Q50’s sporty luxury-sedan mission, that means you’re buying character and speed more than cutting-edge convenience.

With 26.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to find a compelling example.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car you can count on for strong performance and a classy cabin, and it also emphasizes the Q50’s dependable feel as a sporty luxury sedan. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the car as competitively priced and solidly equipped, with a powertrain and chassis that deliver the kind of driving character many shoppers want in this segment.

Infiniti also backs the car with a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is that age-related wear and feature obsolescence can matter more here than outright mechanical weakness.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or lower-priced example. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s equipment and trim level match the listing description. Because the Q50’s value proposition depends heavily on condition and equipment, a clean, well-kept example matters more than usual.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Pure and Luxe models are the key value trims, while Sensory and Red Sport 400 add more visual and equipment upgrades. Pure and Luxe models use leatherette upholstery, while higher trims bring more upscale materials and sportier exterior details, so base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to feature gaps.
• Powertrain: Every Q50 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Most models make 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the Red Sport 400 raises output to 400 hp and 350 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system are tied to the Luxe trim, and models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Sensory and Red Sport 400 models also add a 16-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Most rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 23 mpg combined, while all-wheel-drive versions are rated at 22 mpg combined. The Red Sport 400 is rated at 22 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and loses 1 mpg in the city with all-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, Red Sport 400.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Q50’s core performance and styling at the lowest price. It gives you the basic luxury-sedan formula, but you’ll want to compare its equipment carefully against the next trim up because the Q50’s value improves quickly as you move higher.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the safety and convenience features many buyers will actually miss in the base car. It brings adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor, making it the most balanced choice.
• Sensory: This trim leans more into comfort and presentation, and it also gets the 16-speaker Bose audio system. It’s a good fit if you want a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the performance-focused model.
• Red Sport 400: This is the one to buy if you want the strongest performance and the most aggressive personality. It adds the 400-hp version of the twin-turbo V6, plus sportier exterior details and the most dramatic driving character in the lineup.

The safety-package step-up from Pure to Luxe is the key trim-level note to keep in mind, since that’s where several important driver-assistance features arrive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 26.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 342 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,005, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $21,005 sits slightly below last year's $24,506.

That decline suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a seller, the upside is that a lower entry cost can make the car easier to position competitively later, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check. The downside is that the model’s dated tech and mixed value reputation may continue to pressure resale compared with fresher rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2021 Infiniti Q50 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but “Average” and “Marginal” ratings for headlights. It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. To get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system, you need to move up from the base Pure trim to the Luxe trim. Models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.

The headlight ratings are the main caveat to keep in mind, since they keep the Q50 from being a standout safety pick despite its strong crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 26.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model adds a new Sensory trim, more driver-assist tech, and a built-in WiFi hotspot.

The bottom line: The 2021 Q50 makes the most sense if you want the model’s strongest mix of style, performance, and current-market pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a carefully chosen lower-trim example can be a smart buy, but you should be selective about condition and equipment because the car’s age shows most clearly in its tech and value proposition.
