Used 2021 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearLancaster, PA

How much does the 2021 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 6.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,395 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Odysseys to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its space, safety features, and family-friendly usability, and they also like its helpful features for daily life and strong drivability. The expert review also highlights its spacious cabin, stylish updates, and roomy third row.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not available as a hybrid, it is not as luxurious as some rivals, and all-wheel drive is not available. That makes it best suited to you if you want a practical family minivan that prioritizes comfort and ease of use over premium features or extra drivetrain choices.

Only 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for its safety and family usefulness. The expert review also describes the Odyssey as a vehicle that is easy to live with and built for long-term daily practicality.

Honda’s performance notes reinforce that impression by describing the V6 and automatic transmission as a terrific combination with smooth, effortless power. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Odyssey?

At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough inspection of bodywork, safety systems, and interior wear. Because this model is often used for family duty, pay close attention to seat condition, cargo-area wear, and signs of heavy daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX trim gets standard LED headlights with automatic high-beam operation and Honda Sensing, while EX trim adds the 8-inch touchscreen and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning; Touring and Elite add more upscale equipment, including navigation, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and additional comfort and convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with a ten-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, plus Normal, Sport, Econ, and Snow driving modes and variable cylinder management for better fuel use.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, pedestrian braking, road-sign recognition, and a dashboard menu button for ADAS settings; blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning still requires at least EX trim.
• Infotainment: Starting with EX trim, you get an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite radio, HD Radio, text-messaging support, basic HondaLink connectivity, and a Cabin Control smartphone app; Touring adds navigation, WiFi capability, CabinWatch, and CabinTalk, while Elite adds wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says it should return 22 mpg combined, and the test loop returned 21.8 mpg.

Which 2021 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Odyssey formula with standard LED headlights and Honda Sensing, making it the value-focused choice if you want the basics done well.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning.
• EX-L: This trim is the step up if you want more comfort and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the tech-heavy upper trims.
• Touring: Choose this if you want the richer family-tech setup, including navigation, WiFi capability, CabinWatch, CabinTalk, and the rear-seat entertainment system.
• Elite: This is the most luxurious version, adding the premium sound system, multi-zone listening, wireless smartphone charging, and the most upscale interior presentation.

Honda Sensing is standard on base LX trim, but blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning still requires at least EX trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,395 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,961, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $25,961 sits slightly below last year's $27,648.

That softer pricing suggests the Odyssey has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market. If you buy well and keep the van in strong condition, you can help protect value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2021 Honda Odyssey earns Top Safety Pick recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment aside from rollover resistance, for which it earns a four-star score.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on base LX trim and includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, pedestrian braking, road-sign recognition, and a dashboard menu button for ADAS settings. If you want blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, you still need to move up to EX trim.

The safety systems work accurately, though the adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning can feel less smooth than you might prefer. That is worth keeping in mind if you want the most polished driver-assistance behavior.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a freshened look, improved safety, and upgraded technology for family use.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,266, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $25,961 average.
• It keeps the same light, effortless driving character while adding no major changes.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong satisfaction and solid safety. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with the same basic formula, the 2022 is the secondary path.
