How much does the 2021 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 6.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,066 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Accord earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 9.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its great performance, luxurious features, and good gas mileage. The review summary also points to its modern look and technology, along with a reputation for being a well-rounded daily driver.

The trade-offs are that it is not the fastest model available and some shoppers feel the pricing is high for the features offered. That fits the Accord’s role as a polished midsize sedan for you if you want a balanced package rather than a bargain-basement one.

Good and great deals account for 32.8% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting good gas mileage and a car they feel confident living with over time. The expert review also describes the Accord as a strong daily driver with easy maneuverability and measured performance, which supports the sense that it is built to be counted on.

Honda also emphasizes smooth operation and improved low-speed braking behavior, and the cost-effectiveness notes point to a fair pricing structure. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Accord?

At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim you want. If you are shopping a higher-mileage example, pay extra attention to wear items and signs of inconsistent upkeep.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the base model, while higher trims add features such as LED headlights and lowlights, leather-trimmed seating on upper grades, a power moonroof on select trims, and more upscale interior materials. The Sport SE is a notable step up from the Sport 1.5T with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote engine start.
• Powertrain: You get a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder on the LX, Sport, Sport SE, and EX-L, paired with a CVT. A 2.0-liter turbo-four with 252 hp and a 10-speed automatic is available on the Sport 2.0T and Touring, and the smaller engine is the more efficient daily-driver choice.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Every Accord gets an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, hands-free text messaging, and two USB ports. Higher trims add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a premium audio system, WiFi hotspot capability, and Near Field Communication.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-liter engine is rated at 30 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter engine returns 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Accord is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, Sport 1.5T, Sport Special Edition (SE), EX-L, Sport 2.0T, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value starting point if you want the Accord’s core strengths without paying for extras. It gives you the standard safety suite, the 8-inch touchscreen, and the efficient 1.5-liter engine, making it the trim that best fits budget-focused shoppers.
• Sport 1.5T: Choose this if you want a more stylish look and a sportier feel without jumping to the pricier powertrain. It adds the visual upgrades and keeps the efficient engine, so it is a sensible middle ground.
• Sport Special Edition (SE): This is the best-value trim if you want the biggest jump in comfort and convenience for the money. It adds leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, power adjustments, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote engine start.
• EX-L: Pick this if you want a more upscale cabin and available moonroof without moving all the way to the top. It is the trim that leans most clearly into comfort and refinement.
• Sport 2.0T: This is the choice for you if stronger acceleration matters more than fuel economy. It pairs the more powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine with the sportier trim content.
• Touring: Buy this if you want the most fully equipped Accord, including the head-up display, HomeLink Remote, and the most advanced tech content in the lineup.

Safety-package note: Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and rear-seat reminder arrive on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,066 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,398, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $21,398 sits slightly below last year's $22,785.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more favorable for buyers, which can make future resale a bit more competitive for sellers. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value than someone who pays near the top of the range. The Accord’s broad appeal helps support demand, but the current trend still points to some depreciation pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord safe?

The 2021 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Standard safety equipment also includes vehicle stability assist with traction control, brake assist, a rearview camera, and LED daytime running lights. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda refreshed the Accord’s features list, added a trim level, and made safety a priority.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,580, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,398 average.
• It blends comfort, style, and everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year updates, the 2021 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the smarter value play and still delivers the Accord’s core strengths.
