Used 2021 Genesis G70 for Sale nearPalm Desert, CA

How much does the 2021 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 299 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as an entry-level luxury sport sedan that leans into style, value, and driving enjoyment. The available twin-turbo engine gives it a performance edge, while the design and solid safety scores help it feel distinctive without giving up the basics you expect in a premium sedan.

The trade-offs are real: the base engine is underwhelming, and the back seat and cargo area are both limited. If you want a sporty luxury sedan with personality and strong equipment, it fits that brief well; if you need more everyday space, you may want to look elsewhere.

30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The G70’s appeal is reinforced by its strong value positioning and long warranty coverage, which help reduce the anxiety that can come with buying a used luxury sedan. It also pairs premium-feeling materials with a solid safety reputation, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership.

Its performance setup is straightforward: you get a turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbo V6, both paired with an eight-speed automatic, and the car is built to deliver strong acceleration without drama. Genesis also backs the car with a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a sporty luxury sedan can be more expensive to keep in top shape if prior owners skipped maintenance or drove it hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G70?

At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had any prior damage or multiple owners. Focus on the condition of the interior, electronics, brakes, and tires, since those are the kinds of areas that can reveal how carefully the car was maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Higher configurations get quilted Nappa leather seats and more standard features, while the base setup is more basic by comparison.
• Powertrain: You can choose a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a twin-turbo V6; the V6 brings much stronger performance, and AWD is available.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, and forward-collision warning.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six speakers, SiriusXM satellite radio, and HD radio.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter engine returns 18/28/22 mpg with a manual transmission, 22/30/25 mpg with an automatic, and 20/27/23 mpg with AWD. The 3.3T returns 17/26/20 mpg with RWD and 17/25/20 mpg with AWD.

Which 2021 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value play if you want the G70’s style, standard luxury features, and balanced performance without paying for the stronger engine. It still gives you the core G70 experience, and it’s the better fit if you care more about price than outright speed.
• 3.3T: This is the one to choose if you want the G70 at its most entertaining. The twin-turbo V6 brings a major jump in power and sportiness, plus adaptive dampers, so it suits you best if driving enjoyment matters most.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features that already cover the essentials.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,804, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $22,266 sits slightly below last year's $24,835.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car was maintained.

Because the G70 has a strong reputation for style, value, and driving enjoyment, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. Cars with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 brings minor updates, including a shuffling of trim levels and features.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,075, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $22,266 average.
• It emphasizes style, speed, and a premium feel with a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,314, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $22,266 average.
• It adds refreshed styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, style, and performance, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2020 can save you money, while the 2022 makes sense if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
