Used 2021 Genesis G70 for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2021 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 297 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as an entry-level luxury sport sedan that leans into style, value, and driving enjoyment. The design is distinctive, the cabin is upscale, and the available twin-turbo engine gives it a more playful personality than many rivals.

The trade-offs are real: the base engine is underwhelming, and the back seat and cargo area are both tight. If you want a premium sedan that feels special and engaging rather than purely practical, this one fits that brief well.

36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Genesis backs the G70 with a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. The car is also positioned as a value-focused luxury sedan with solid safety scores and strong standard equipment, both of which support confidence in day-to-day use.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is making sure the car was maintained properly, especially if you’re considering one with higher mileage or a more demanding powertrain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G70?

At 71% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a lower-priced example. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any evidence that the car was driven hard or maintained inconsistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Higher configurations get quilted Nappa leather seats and plenty of standard features, while the optional sunroof can make the cabin feel lighter and less restrained.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder makes 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbo V6 makes 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed automatic is standard, rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, a driver attention monitoring system, and forward-collision warning. Parking sensors are also available.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, USB inputs, and six speakers. Available upgrades include a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system, navigation, parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a surround-view camera system, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter engine returns 18/28/22 mpg with a manual transmission, 22/30/25 mpg with an automatic, and 20/27/23 mpg with AWD. The 3.3T returns 17/26/20 mpg with RWD and 17/25/20 mpg with AWD.

Which 2021 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value play if you want the G70’s style, upscale cabin, and standard equipment without paying for the more powerful engine. It still gives you the core luxury-sport-sedan experience, and it’s the better fit if you care more about price and efficiency than outright speed.
• 3.3T: This is the one to choose if you want the G70 at its most entertaining. The twin-turbo V6 brings a big jump in power and sportiness, and it also adds adaptive dampers. If you want the best-driving version and can live with the higher running costs, this is the enthusiast pick.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver aids that already cover the essentials.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G70?

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 297 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,822, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $22,207 sits slightly below last year's $24,755.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to move a used G70. If you’re planning to sell later, the current softness could limit upside in the near term unless your car is especially clean, well equipped, and well documented.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the G70’s style-first, value-focused formula while adding minor updates for the year.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,264, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $22,207 average.
• It emphasizes style, speed, and a distinctive presence with a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $25,734, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $22,207 average.
• It adds new styling, an improved infotainment system, and Highway Driving Assist.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of price, safety, and personality. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2020 is worth a look; if you want newer features and don’t mind paying more, the 2022 is the upgrade path.
