With 300 listings available, you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Genesis G70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It fits you well if you want an entry-level luxury sport sedan that emphasizes style, value, and driving enjoyment. The overview and expert notes both point to a distinctive design, premium standard features, and a playful character that helps it stand out in a crowded segment.

The trade-offs are real: the base engine is underwhelming, and the back seat and cargo area are tight. Even so, the available twin-turbo V6 and the car’s strong safety credentials make it a compelling choice if you can live with the packaging compromises.

A 33.7% share of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The G70’s appeal is reinforced by its strong value positioning and the brand’s long warranty coverage. The expert notes also emphasize solid performance and a comfortable interior, which are the kinds of traits that usually support confidence in daily ownership.

Genesis also backs the car with a five-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure the car has been maintained properly and hasn’t been abused, especially if you’re considering a higher-output version.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G70?

At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a car with sportier equipment or higher mileage. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and electronics still feel tight and well cared for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Higher configurations get quilted Nappa leather seats and more standard features, while the base setup is more basic by comparison.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder makes 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbo V6 makes 365 hp and 376 lb-ft; the V6 adds much more punch.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, and forward-collision warning.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, and six speakers; upgrades can add navigation, a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system, a surround-view camera system, and wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter engine returns 18/28/22 mpg with a manual transmission, 22/30/25 mpg with an automatic, and 20/27/23 mpg with AWD; the 3.3T returns 17/26/20 mpg with RWD and 17/25/20 mpg with AWD.

Which 2021 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.0T and 3.3T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0T: This is the value play if you want the G70’s style, standard luxury features, and balanced performance without paying for the stronger engine. It still gives you the car’s upscale cabin, strong safety equipment, and the core driving character that makes the G70 appealing.
• 3.3T: This is the one to choose if you want the G70 at its most entertaining. The twin-turbo V6 brings a major jump in power and adds adaptive dampers, making it the better pick if performance matters most.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already included.

The current average of $22,101 sits slightly below last year's $24,721.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell soon. Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the entry-level luxury sport-sedan formula while adding minor trim and feature updates.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,059, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $22,101 average.
• It emphasizes style, speed, and a premium feel with a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2022 if:
