How much does the 2021 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 9.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,303 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Ford Bronco earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Drivers consistently praise its design, smooth ride, and versatility, and many also like the powerful performance and advanced tech features. The Bronco’s appeal is especially strong if you want a rugged SUV with real personality and trail-focused capability rather than a soft-road commuter.

The trade-offs are clear: it can be noisy, and the stereo is lacking. That makes it a better fit if you value off-road intent, distinctive styling, and a capable all-around package more than quiet highway refinement.

Good and great deals account for 35.4% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as versatile and fun, and many call out its strong performance and overall value. The feedback also points to a vehicle that feels capable and confidence-inspiring for buyers who plan to keep it for the long haul.

The Bronco’s off-road-focused engineering and modern tech should help it feel current for years, but noise and roof-related complaints are worth keeping in mind when you evaluate a used example. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying one that has been used hard without proper maintenance or careful inspection.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford Bronco?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any Bronco you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the roof, doors, and interior wear, especially if the truck has seen trail use or frequent top removal. Focus on condition details that can affect daily livability, like noise, fitment, and signs of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models get a lower level of equipment, while higher trims can add more convenience and safety content. The Big Bend and Black Diamond can add the Mid Package, and the Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and Badlands can add the High Package.
• Powertrain: The Bronco offers a standard turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four and an available twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four, with manual or automatic transmission choices and standard four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Ford Co-Pilot 360 includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping system, auto high-beam headlamps, and rear-view camera with backup assist grid lines. The High Package adds a 360-degree camera, a forward-sensing system, and side-view mirror LED approach lamps.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses SYNC 4 with enhanced voice recognition, an 8-inch standard touchscreen, and an available 12-inch touchscreen. Wireless device charging is included with the Lux Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The Bronco is described as having poor fuel economy.

Which 2021 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford Bronco is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it starts with the least equipment and relies on packages if you want more convenience or safety content.
• Big Bend: This is a strong value choice because it keeps the Bronco’s core capability while opening the door to the Mid Package.
• Black Diamond: This trim makes sense if you want a more trail-ready setup and still want access to the Mid Package.
• Outer Banks: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and the option to add the High Package.
• Badlands: This is the better pick if you want a more serious off-road setup and the High Package.
• Wildtrak: This trim suits buyers who want a more performance-oriented Bronco with the High Package available.
• First Edition: This is the most exclusive version, aimed at buyers who want the most complete launch-spec Bronco.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Mid Package is available on the Big Bend and Black Diamond, while the High Package is available on the Outer Banks, Wildtrak, and Badlands.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Bronco?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,303 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,583, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $35,583 sits slightly below last year's $39,402.

That softer pricing suggests the Bronco has already moved off its earlier peak, which can help future buyers but may temper near-term resale gains for current owners. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Demand should remain supported by the Bronco’s strong reputation and enthusiast appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot 360 includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping system, auto high-beam headlamps, and rear-view camera with backup assist grid lines. The High Package adds a 360-degree camera, a forward-sensing system, and side-view mirror LED approach lamps.

A key caveat is that safety equipment is packaged rather than broadly standard, so lower trims start with less. The removable-door design also means you should pay close attention to how the Bronco is configured and used, especially if you’re shopping for one that has seen off-road duty.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It returns after a long hiatus with bold styling, standard 4WD, and two available powertrains.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,751, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $35,583 average.
• It broadens appeal with more choices and better everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2021 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to spend more for a broader lineup and a newer model year, the 2022 is the cleaner alternative.
