Used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer cost?

Prices have softened 10.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,179 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer earns a 4.88/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the sporty look, responsive power, and driving enjoyment, and they also describe the Blazer as a good value for families. The expert notes reinforce that appeal by highlighting its style-first personality, strong handling, and easy-to-use technology.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials feel cheap, the transmission is irritating, and the Blazer is described as poor value for money. That makes it a better fit if you want a distinctive midsize SUV with personality than if you want the most polished or practical choice in the segment.

The market also shows 33.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers praising the Blazer’s responsive power and saying it delivers a driving experience they can count on. The expert notes also support that impression by describing the chassis as composed and the technology as straightforward to live with.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the vehicle was maintained well enough to offset its higher-strung drivetrain and premium positioning.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the Blazer’s appeal depends so much on condition and presentation, you’ll want to focus on cabin wear, electronics, and how smoothly the drivetrain behaves on a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base L and 1LT trims are the most stripped-down, while the LT, RS, and Premier bring more visual polish and equipment. The lower trims also miss some of the more advanced driver-assistance content, so feature gaps matter here.
• Powertrain: The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder is underpowered and noisy, while the 2.0-liter turbo is the better everyday choice and the 3.6-liter V6 is the strongest option. All versions use a nine-speed automatic, and AWD is available across the lineup.
• Safety package: Driver assists include forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams. These features are standard on most trims except the L and 1LT, and the enhanced forward emergency braking is reserved for top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.
• Infotainment: Every Blazer gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Plus version adds navigation with traffic, 4G WiFi, onboard apps, better voice recognition, and the ability to pair two phones.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD V6 returns 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, while the AWD turbo four-cylinder is rated at 22/27/24.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the least expensive way into the Blazer, but it’s also the trim the expert warns you away from because the base engine is underpowered and noisy. It makes sense only if your priority is the lowest possible entry price.
• 1LT: This trim adds a bit more equipment than the L, but it still sits close to the base setup and doesn’t solve the core powertrain drawback. It’s mainly for shoppers who want a modest step up without moving far up the price ladder.
• 2LT: This is the best-value starting point because it gets the 2.0-liter turbo engine, which is a much better fit for the Blazer than the base engine. It also opens the door to more desirable equipment and is the trim the expert suggests as a sensible baseline.
• 3LT: This trim builds on the 2LT with more content and keeps the stronger turbo powertrain. It suits you if you want a more complete Blazer without jumping all the way to the sportier or more expensive versions.
• RS: This is the enthusiast choice, pairing the 3.6-liter V6 with sport-tuned suspension, brakes, and steering. If you care most about the Blazer’s handling and want the most engaging version, this is the trim to target.
• Premier: This is the upscale choice, with the most premium presentation and available luxury touches. It makes the most sense if you want the Blazer’s style in its most polished form and are willing to pay for it.

For safety equipment, the enhanced forward emergency braking is only available on top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Blazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,179 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,846, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The current average of $20,849 sits slightly below last year's $23,330.

That decline suggests the Blazer has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current market average or below, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to the model’s earlier pricing.

The Blazer’s style and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. On the other hand, its value-oriented reputation and premium pricing when new can limit how quickly it rebounds.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer safe?

The 2021 Blazer scored an overall five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and in all three crash tests. The front passenger scored four stars in the frontal crash and the vehicle scored four stars in the rollover test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Blazer top "Good" ratings in all crash tests, but "Marginal" and "Poor" ratings for headlights.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a driver's knee airbag, forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams on most trims. The enhanced forward emergency braking uses radar in addition to the camera and is only available on top trims with the Driver Confidence II package.

A notable shortcoming is that GM’s inboard side airbag is not offered, and rear emergency braking is also absent.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 stands out for its style-first design, strong handling, and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,501, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $20,849 average.
• It adds a more practical everyday package with seating for five and up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and the model still delivers the Blazer’s core strengths. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer example and want the slightly more practical package, the 2022 is the secondary path to consider.
