For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction suggests lower day-to-day ownership risk, especially if you choose a well-maintained example with clean history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Cadillac CT5?

At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to bodywork, paint consistency, tire wear, and signs of uneven panel gaps or repair work. Because this is a luxury sedan, you should also focus on how well the interior, electronics, and ride quality have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 544 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,961, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $28,386 sits slightly below last year's $30,756.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the same trend means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a rising market. If you keep the car clean, well-documented, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $26,018, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $28,386 average.
• It offers a fresh take on Cadillac’s luxury sport sedan formula with modern, approachable tech.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall market signal and are comfortable paying a bit more, the 2021 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
