Used 2021 Buick Enclave for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

How much does the 2021 Buick Enclave cost?

Prices have softened 12.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,223 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Buick Enclave earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

The Enclave stands out as Buick’s biggest crossover SUV, with a stylish, upscale presence and a cabin that is roomy, quiet, powerful, and athletic. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV that leans more premium than mainstream.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, the value for the money is weak, and the interior materials do not fully match the upscale image. Even so, the Enclave’s comfort and space remain major strengths.

Good and great deals account for 34.7% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Enclave’s reliability case is helped by its straightforward mechanical setup and its emphasis on comfort and ease of use. The V6, nine-speed automatic, and conventional SUV layout keep the formula simple, while the cabin and ride are tuned for relaxed daily driving.

Its performance notes also point to a durable-feeling package: the transmission is described as smooth and consistently well-behaved, and the SUV’s ride quality is praised across a wide range of road surfaces. That kind of consistency is a good sign for long-term ownership.

If you buy used, the main risk is not mechanical complexity so much as paying too much for a vehicle whose value proposition is already a weak point.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Buick Enclave?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, because the Enclave’s value depends heavily on whether the cabin, electronics, and safety equipment have been kept in good shape.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Enclave is offered in Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir trims. The base trim leaves out some safety equipment that appears higher up the range, so you should compare feature content closely if you want the best mix of value and equipment.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.6-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The engine makes 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and the SUV is described as strong and athletic on the road.
• Safety package: The Driver Confidence Plus Package includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require an upgrade from Preferred to Essence, and adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking requires Avenir plus the optional Avenir Technology Package.
• Infotainment: The biggest touchscreen is 8 inches. Every Enclave includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, and USB charging ports in all three rows. Wireless smartphone charging, navigation, a premium sound system, and a surround-view camera system are available upgrades.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates the Enclave at 21 mpg in combined driving, and testing returned 21.2 mpg.

Which 2021 Buick Enclave trim should I buy?

The 2021 Buick Enclave is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Enclave’s space and V6 power at the lowest starting point. Just know that some desirable safety features are reserved for higher trims.
• Essence: This is the trim to consider if you want a better balance of equipment and value, especially because it adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert over Preferred.
• Premium: This is the better-equipped choice if you want the Driver Confidence Plus Package standard, including forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, parking sensors, and the Safety Alert Seat.
• Avenir: This is the most upscale version and the one that best matches the Enclave’s premium ambitions. It adds the strongest visual presence and the most luxurious cabin treatment, and it is the trim to choose if you want the most complete version of the SUV.

The safety-package gap matters here: the most advanced driver-assistance content is not spread evenly across the lineup, and Avenir buyers still need the optional Avenir Technology Package for adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Buick Enclave?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,223 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,166, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $23,166 sits slightly below last year's $26,387.

That decline suggests the Enclave has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you enter ownership near the current average or below it, you reduce the amount of value left to lose.

The model’s premium positioning and strong comfort appeal can still support demand, especially for shoppers who want a roomy three-row SUV with a more upscale feel. But its weaker value reputation means resale will depend heavily on condition, trim, and how well-equipped the vehicle is.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave safe?

The 2021 Buick Enclave earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, though frontal-impact protection rates four-star due to a four-star front passenger rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it high marks overall, but a Marginal headlight performance rating keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick accolade.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Buick’s Driver Confidence Plus Package brings forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on the base trim, and adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking is limited to Avenir with the optional Avenir Technology Package.

The main safety caveat is that Buick spreads key driver-assistance features across higher trims, which makes the Enclave less competitive than some rivals in standard safety content.

Should I buy a 2021 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers roomy, quiet, upscale three-row comfort with strong V6 power.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,575, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $23,166 average.
• It adds a meaningful refresh with standard driver-assistance and safety technology.

The bottom line: Buy the 2021 if you want the lower price and can live with its older tech and uneven safety-feature availability. If you want the newer safety and infotainment updates, the 2022 is the better path, but you will pay more for it. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 remains the smarter value play as long as you shop carefully and prioritize condition.
