Used 2021 Buick Enclave for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2021 Buick Enclave cost?

Prices have softened 12.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,212 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Buick Enclave earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

It stands out as Buick’s biggest crossover SUV, with a stylish, upscale presence and a cabin that is roomy, quiet, powerful, and athletic. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV that feels more premium than many mainstream rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, the value for the money is weak, and the interior materials can feel cheap. Even so, the Enclave’s comfort, space, and easy-to-use layout keep it appealing if those strengths matter most to you.

33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Enclave is described as comfortable, spacious, and easy to use, which are the kinds of traits that usually support steady ownership satisfaction. Its 3.6-liter V6, nine-speed automatic, and available AWD give it a straightforward mechanical setup, and the powertrain is described as strong and smooth in everyday driving.

The available Avenir Technology Package adds a premium-tuned suspension with continuously variable damping, which helps the SUV ride with impressive composure. It also adds automatic emergency braking that works at highway speeds, giving you an extra layer of confidence if you choose that setup.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Enclave’s safety and convenience features are unevenly distributed across trims, so you need to verify exactly what equipment your vehicle has.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Buick Enclave?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the condition of the cabin, the electronics, and the ride quality, since this model’s value depends heavily on comfort and equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir are the trims to compare. The base setup leaves out some desirable safety equipment, while Avenir adds extra presence with a unique grille pattern, extra brightwork, and unique 20-inch polished wheels.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.6-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic and either FWD or AWD. The engine makes 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and the SUV can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
• Safety package: Driver Confidence Plus Package includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require an upgrade from Preferred to Essence, and adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking requires Avenir plus the optional Avenir Technology Package.
• Infotainment: The biggest screen is an 8-inch touchscreen. Every Enclave includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, USB charging ports in all three rows, and Teen Driver. Available upgrades include navigation, wireless smartphone charging, a premium sound system, and a surround-view camera system.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates it at 21 mpg combined, and testing returned 21.2 mpg.

Which 2021 Buick Enclave trim should I buy?

The 2021 Buick Enclave is offered in 4 trim levels: Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, but you should expect to give up some desirable safety equipment that appears higher up the range. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting point and plan to keep your expectations modest.
• Essence: This is the first trim that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, so it is the first one that meaningfully improves everyday safety convenience. For many shoppers, this is the best-value trim because it closes an important equipment gap without jumping all the way to the top.
• Premium: This trim brings the Driver Confidence Plus Package, adding forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a Safety Alert Seat. It is the better choice if you want a more complete safety setup without going all the way to Avenir.
• Avenir: This is the most upscale version, with the strongest visual presence and the most premium feel inside and out. It is the right pick if you want the Enclave at its most luxurious, and it is also the only trim that can be paired with the optional Avenir Technology Package for adaptive cruise control and highway-speed automatic emergency braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Buick Enclave?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,212 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,000, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $23,000 sits slightly below last year's $26,311.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing means your future resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Well-equipped examples with desirable safety and convenience features should hold buyer interest better than stripped versions. Clean history and strong presentation matter even more when a model’s value proposition is already under pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Buick Enclave safe?

The 2021 Buick Enclave earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, though frontal-impact protection rates four stars due to a four-star front passenger rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it high marks across the board, but a Marginal headlight performance rating keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick accolade.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Buick’s Driver Confidence Plus Package adds forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, and a Safety Alert Seat. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Preferred, and adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking requires Avenir plus the optional Avenir Technology Package.

The main safety caveat is that Buick withholds too much driver-assistance equipment from lower trims, and the headlight result is a weakness you should keep in mind when shopping used examples.

Should I buy a 2021 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a roomy, quiet, upscale three-row experience with strong V6 power.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,590, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $23,000 average.
• It adds standard driver-assistance tech and wireless smartphone features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and can live with its older tech and uneven safety equipment. If you want a fresher cabin, more standard safety tech, and wireless smartphone integration, the 2022 is the smarter upgrade — but you’ll pay more for it. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 remains the more compelling buy as long as you target a well-equipped trim.
