Used 2021 BMW X7 for Sale nearFort Lauderdale, FL

How much does the 2021 BMW X7 cost?

Prices have softened 12.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,129 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 BMW X7 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 BMW X7 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the X7 for its impressive driving experience, luxurious interior, and spaciousness. The user feedback also points to strong power and performance, along with a sense that the SUV feels refined and satisfying to live with over time.

On the downside, the expert review notes that the ride can still allow too much body motion, and the X7’s size can make it feel unwieldy on tighter roads. For you, that means the X7 makes the most sense if you want a large luxury SUV that still feels engaging from behind the wheel rather than purely comfort-focused.

With 40.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2021 BMW X7 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a reliable, dependable, and trouble-free ownership experience, with owners describing the X7 in terms that suggest they feel confident counting on it day to day. The expert review also emphasizes that the X7’s advanced driving assistance technology is accurate, smooth, and trustworthy.

BMW also includes free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs and adds some peace of mind. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since luxury-SUV repairs can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 BMW X7?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific vehicle you’re considering has a clean past. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a luxury SUV like this, where suspension, electronics, and driver-assistance systems can be costly to sort out later. Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the equipment on the vehicle matches what you expect from the trim and option packages.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Three versions are available: xDrive40i, M50i, and Alpina BX7. The xDrive40i starts at $74,900, while the M50i and Alpina BX7 move into much pricier territory. The xDrive40i is the value play if you want the core X7 experience without chasing the most decadent equipment.
• Powertrain: The xDrive40i uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed sport automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive. BMW’s 48-volt mild-hybrid setup adds an electric boost effect, automatic start/stop refinement, and coasting capability.
• Safety package: BMW makes its safety technologies standard, except for the optional Driving Assistance Professional Package and Parking Assistance Package. The Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Active Driving Assistant Pro with evasive-steering assist, traffic-jam assist, lane-control assist, emergency stop assist, and partially automated steering input on limited-access highways at speeds under 40 mph. The Parking Assistance Package adds semi-automated parallel parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a drive recorder system.
• Infotainment: The X7 uses a 12.3-inch display for both Live Cockpit Professional and iDrive 7.0 with navigation. For 2021, it adds Android Auto alongside Apple CarPlay, plus wireless smartphone charging, natural voice recognition, and standard Connected Package Pro.
• Fuel efficiency: The xDrive40i is rated at 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2021 BMW X7 trim should I buy?

The 2021 BMW X7 is offered in 3 trim levels: xDrive40i, M50i, and Alpina BX7.

Here's the short version:

• xDrive40i: This is the best-value choice if you want the core X7 experience. It brings the 335-horsepower turbo inline-six, xDrive all-wheel drive, and the full tech-heavy cabin without pushing into the highest price brackets.
• M50i: This trim is for you if you want more performance and are willing to pay for it. It sits above the xDrive40i and is the better fit if stronger power matters more than value.
• Alpina BX7: This is the most expensive and most exclusive version, and BMW reserves many of the X7’s most decadent features for it. Choose it if you want the most lavish interpretation of the X7 rather than the best bargain.

BMW also notes that many of the SUV’s most decadent features are restricted to the Alpina BX7, so trim choice matters a lot here.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW X7?

The market looks favorable if you’re shopping now, especially if you’re ready to move quickly on a well-priced listing.

• Deal availability: 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,129 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,456, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW X7's resale value?

The current average of $36,456 sits slightly below last year's $41,759.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the X7 more attractive to used buyers today but less favorable for sellers trying to maximize return. If you own one, pricing pressure may continue to reflect the model’s luxury-SUV competition and the fact that shoppers have plenty of alternatives to compare.

For a future seller, the upside is that the X7 still has strong appeal thanks to its luxury image, spacious cabin, and engaging driving character. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 BMW X7 safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW equips the 2021 X7 with all of its safety technologies as standard features, except for what you get in the optional Driving Assistance Professional Package and the Parking Assistance Package. The Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Active Driving Assistant Pro with evasive-steering assist, traffic-jam assist, lane-control assist, emergency stop assist, and partially automated steering input on limited-access highways at speeds under 40 mph.

The expert review says this system works well and can genuinely reduce stress in traffic and on the highway. It also notes a few caveats: lane maintenance can seem reactive in some situations, the system can get confused where lanes merge, and automated lane changes are more abrupt than ideal. The Parking Assistance Package adds semi-automated parallel parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a drive recorder system.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model adds a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain to the xDrive40i, cancels the xDrive50i, and debuts the Alpina XB7.

The 2021 is the right pick if you want the updated powertrain and the year’s revised equipment mix, especially if you value the X7’s strong driving character and luxury feel. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2021 stands out as a well-rounded choice with strong owner satisfaction and a favorable market backdrop.
