How much does the 2021 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 11.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 546 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2021 BMW 7 Series backs that up with a full-size luxury-sedan formula centered on advanced technology, comfort, and strong performance. BMW’s flagship brings features like Live Cockpit, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, in-car gaming, a standard head-up display, quad-zone climate control, USB-C charge ports, front seat massagers, and a panoramic glass roof. It also offers a leather-free configuration, while the available M Sport package adds uprated brakes and sports styling features.

For you, that means this model year makes the most sense if you want a large sedan that feels modern, well equipped, and distinctly BMW, with a comfortable but sporty ride and excellent rear passenger room. 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 BMW 7 Series is presented as a flagship that emphasizes advanced technology, comfort, and strong performance, which can make it appealing if you want a premium sedan with a lot of capability. Its broad powertrain range and high-end equipment suggest a sophisticated ownership experience, but that same complexity can make upkeep more demanding over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a highly equipped luxury sedan can become expensive to maintain if prior care has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan with extensive technology and comfort equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the car’s features and systems work as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 546 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,188, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $37,188 sits slightly below last year's $41,972.

That price movement suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose. Strong equipment and flagship appeal can help keep interest steady, but luxury sedans still tend to reward careful timing and disciplined buying.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: Buy the 2021 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad inventory, and high owner satisfaction in this generation. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2021 is the better starting point when you want a well-equipped flagship sedan and enough listings to shop selectively.
