The 2021 Audi A4’s appeal comes from a mature, well-rounded package with useful technology and a strong powertrain, which can be reassuring if you want a premium sedan that feels sorted. Its broader equipment list and available all-wheel drive also support confidence in daily use.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most manageable when you focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since premium cars can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Audi A4?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint consistency, alignment, and signs of uneven wear, then make sure the cabin electronics and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 367 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,278, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $21,278 sits slightly below last year's $23,274.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the key implication is that resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. If you keep the car clean, documented, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,964, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $21,278 average.
• It feels fresh, with modern technology and a rock-solid structure.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2021 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2022 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize freshness over savings.
