Used 2021 Acura RDX for Sale nearAkron, OH

How much does the 2021 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 4.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,344 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Acura RDX earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its value, comfort, and fun driving experience, and many also highlight the spacious interior and stylish design. The main trade-offs are fuel economy concerns and some complaints about the audio system and noise-canceling setup.

That lines up with the overview: you get a compact luxury crossover that blends utility, quality, safety, technology, performance, and value, especially if you want something engaging without giving up everyday usability. The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 39.4% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the model’s value and comfort.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the RDX as a strong all-around package with high safety ratings and solid everyday usability. It also notes that the vehicle delivers more for less, which supports confidence in long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, because accident-free listings are not the same as problem-free listings. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, since the RDX’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and how comfortably it fits your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base pricing starts at $38,200, and the Technology Package, A-Spec Package, and Advance Package add progressively more equipment. The base trim is also the one that misses blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert, so you should pay close attention to feature content if those matter to you.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and SH-AWD is available if you want sharper handling.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert require at least the Technology Package, and the system also lacks pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The True Touchpad Interface uses a touch-sensing pad instead of a touchscreen. The system is designed to mirror the screen, but it can still be distracting and takes time to learn.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2021 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2021 Acura RDX is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it leaves out blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without those extras.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value trim because it adds the missing blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert while building on the standard safety and convenience equipment.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you want the sportier look and feel, including unique exterior and interior touches, while keeping the same core powertrain.
• Advance Package: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the extras that push the RDX toward maximum comfort and convenience.

For safety-minded shoppers, the Technology Package is the key trim to target because it closes the biggest standard-equipment gap.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,344 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,852, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $26,852 sits slightly below last year's $28,257.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with strong feature content should be easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Acura RDX safe?

The 2021 Acura RDX earns a 2020 calendar-year “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), with four-star frontal-impact and four-star rollover resistance crash-test ratings from the NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. However, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard, and you need at least the Technology Package to get them.

One caveat is that the standard safety suite is not as comprehensive as some rivals or even Acura’s own newer models, so you should pay close attention to trim level if safety tech matters most to you.

Should I buy a 2021 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 brings the latest styling, the rethought True Touchpad Interface, and a strong mix of value, comfort, and handling.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,975, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $26,852 average.
• It offers plenty of space, creature comforts, and safety tech at a lower price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $30,665, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,852 average.
• It adds fresh styling, a quieter cabin, additional equipment, and refined ride and handling.

The bottom line: If you want the newest styling and the strongest all-around balance, the 2021 is the smart target. If price matters most, the 2020 is the value play, while the 2022 makes sense if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
