Should I buy a 2020 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,925, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,156 average.
• It adds a more refined, upscale feel with stronger everyday appeal.

The bottom line:

You should start with the 2020 if you want the better value and a wider set of deals to compare. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model-year experience, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize a more polished premium feel over upfront savings.
