You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title status, and service records. What is the 2020 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $22,323 sits slightly below last year's $24,847.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you can help protect value even in a softer pricing environment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,919, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,323 average.
• It adds a more refined, upscale feel with stronger everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the primary path because it combines a lower average price with decent deal availability. If you can stretch for a newer model and want the extra polish, the 2021 is the secondary path for buyers who care more about refinement than upfront savings.
