How much does the 2020 Toyota Supra cost?

Is the 2020 Toyota Supra a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Supra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The Supra is presented as a long-awaited return, and the test-drive notes emphasize that it delivers better performance than before. It is also described as fun to drive with great handling, which fits its role as a sports car. The main trade-offs are its poor ergonomic design and the sense that it does not feel especially special, even with its strong driving character.

Good and great deals make up 31.5% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Supra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The available notes point to a car that is built around driving enjoyment and sharp dynamics, with the performance side of the package clearly prioritized. That focus can be a plus if you want a sports car that feels dialed-in, but it also means you should expect the usual used-sports-car ownership trade-offs and pay close attention to how the car has been treated.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a performance model. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence that the car has been modified or poorly maintained. Pay extra attention to the cabin and controls, since the source material calls out the interior’s ergonomics as a weak point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car comes with 19-inch wheels, Michelin high-performance tires, LED head- and taillights, remote keyless entry, 14-way sport bucket seats, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and a suite of driver-assistance features. The Premium adds heated leather seats, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a head-up display. The Launch Edition is limited to 1,500 examples and is essentially a Premium with unique appearance details.
• Powertrain: The car uses a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with a twin-scroll turbo, 335 horsepower, and 365 pound-feet of torque. Power goes through an 8-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and there is no manual transmission option.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning with steering assist, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers. The available Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. The Premium trim also adds a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses a 6.5-inch touchscreen, while the Premium and Launch Edition get an 8.8-inch touchscreen and wireless device charging. Wireless Apple CarPlay is included on the Premium.
• Fuel efficiency: The car returns 24 mpg city, 31 highway, and 26 combined.

Which 2020 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Supra is offered in 3 trim levels: 3.0 (base), 3.0 Premium, and Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• 3.0 (base): This is the value play if you want the Supra’s core performance and handling without paying for extras. You still get the 3.0-liter turbo inline-six, the 8-speed automatic, the standard safety suite, and the 6.5-inch infotainment screen.
• 3.0 Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the most complete everyday package. It adds heated leather seats, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a head-up display.
• Launch Edition: Choose this only if you want the limited-run version with its unique appearance details and exclusivity. It is essentially a Premium with special cosmetic touches.

The safety package is standard on all trims, while the Driver Assist Package adds more advanced features.

What is the 2020 Toyota Supra's resale value?

The current average of $50,832 sits slightly above last year's $49,968.

That upward move suggests the market has remained willing to pay for this model year. For a future seller, that can be a helpful sign that demand is still healthy, especially if your car is clean and well documented. The relatively tight year-round range also suggests that well-kept examples should remain easier to position competitively.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.73% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 is the long-awaited return of the Supra, with standout handling and performance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $47,403, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $50,832 average.
• It adds two new engines, including a more affordable option.

The bottom line: If you want the original return-year Supra with strong demand and a proven enthusiast appeal, the 2020 is the one to target. If price matters more than owning the debut year, the 2021 is the smarter path because it brings a lower average price and more engine choice.
