How much does the 2020 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 5.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 238 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2020 Toyota Sequoia stands out as a full-size, body-on-frame SUV with a truck-based character that emphasizes durability, towing ability, and family-hauling practicality. It shares its platform with the Tundra, and every Sequoia comes with three rows of seating for up to eight passengers depending on the second-row layout, which makes it appealing if you want a large SUV with traditional truck underpinnings and a reputation for dependability. For 2020, Toyota Safety Sense, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto add everyday usability, while the TRD Pro trim gives you a more adventure-ready setup if you want off-road capability. 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2020 Toyota Sequoia’s truck-based design and emphasis on durability support its reputation as a dependable full-size SUV, and its family-friendly layout adds to its practical appeal. It is built for buyers who value robust construction and proven hardware over the latest efficiency or packaging tricks. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, older-school SUV can be costly to live with if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Sequoia?

At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a full-size SUV that may have been used for towing, family duty, or off-road driving. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of hard use rather than just mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value if you compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 238 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $42,740 sits slightly below last year's $45,117.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, the current trend means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still attract attention from shoppers who want a durable, truck-based three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $47,586, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $42,740 average.
• It adds a more modern-feeling mix of capability, comfort, and technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year alternative, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize a more updated feel over upfront savings.
