What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Tesla Model S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm the car’s condition with a thorough inspection before you commit. Focus on signs of wear, prior damage, and whether the vehicle matches the seller’s description, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings. Because this model year leans heavily on software and technology, it’s also smart to make sure everything functions as expected during a test drive and feature check.

What is the 2020 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $33,639 sits slightly above last year's $31,260.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year’s mix of range, performance, and technology. If you own one now, that can help support your resale position as long as the car stays in strong condition and remains attractive to used EV shoppers. Listings with cleaner histories and stronger pricing discipline should be easier to move when you decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.61% year-over-year.
