How much does the 2020 Nissan Titan cost?

There are 919 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Titan earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10. Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, high-quality interior, smooth driving experience, and the value it offers for the price. The Titan also fits buyers who want a full-size pickup with a spacious cabin and useful features without feeling cramped. Trade-offs include outdated technology and uninspired styling, and the expert review notes that it still trails some rivals in overall polish. Even so, the 2020 update makes it a more convincing choice if you want a straightforward, well-equipped full-size truck. Good and great deals account for 32.5% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback points to a reliable, dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the Titan as a truck they can count on over the long term. The expert review also emphasizes the Titan’s stronger body structure, standard driver assists, and added airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners as signs of improved durability and confidence. Nissan’s 5-year/100,000-mile warranty adds another ownership perk that can help reduce early-life risk. For used buyers, the main long-term concern is making sure a specific truck has been maintained well and hasn’t absorbed hidden wear from hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Titan?

At 70.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has towing or work-truck mileage. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior body or structural repair. If you’re comparing multiple listings, the cleanest truck with the best documentation is usually the safer buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trim gets plain halogen headlights and a more basic look, while upper trims add more chrome and the Pro-4X brings gray accents, red details, and blacked-out badges. The lower-trim cabin still benefits from better materials, a soft upper dash, and a glossy 9-inch touchscreen, so you do not need to jump to the top trim to get a solid interior.
• Powertrain: The Titan uses a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and 4-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case is optional on all trims.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. Adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and 360-degree cameras are optional.
• Infotainment: The Titan offers an 8- or 9-inch touchscreen, and the 9-inch display is the one to get. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard with the 9-inch screen, and the system supports over-the-air updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says EPA ratings were not yet available, though it notes an average of 16 mpg over a 500-mile week.

Which 2020 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Titan is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, Pro-4X, Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but the lower-trim truck still benefits from the Titan’s stronger interior materials and standard safety tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model and can live without the richer features found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim. The expert review specifically recommends the SV King Cab 4WD, and the SV Convenience package adds extra technology and interior amenities. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and value, this is the trim to target.
• Pro-4X: This is the off-road-flavored trim, with gray accents, red details, and blacked-out badges. Choose it if you want the more rugged appearance and the content that comes with that character.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the upscale choice, with chrome styling cues and the most premium presentation in the lineup. It suits you if comfort and appearance matter more than value.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, but adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and 360-degree cameras remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 919 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,134, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $25,134 sits slightly below last year's $29,739.

That price drop suggests the Titan has become more accessible to used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for depreciation than someone who paid closer to last year’s level. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment should matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2020 Titan has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. A rear-door alert also comes standard. Adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and 360-degree cameras are optional. The expert review also notes that Nissan improved the body structure and added two airbags plus two rear seatbelt pre-tensioners, which helped the Titan score better in this category.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 update brings major strides in technology, safety, and overall value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,546, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,134 average.
• It carries the 2020 updates forward and adds a strong mix of standard power, technology, and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it delivers the refreshed Titan experience at a lower average price. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year listing, the 2021 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who want the same basic formula with a slightly newer badge.
