How much does the 2020 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 15.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 907 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Titans to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Titan earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, the high-quality interior, and the value you get compared with competitors. They also highlight the smooth driving experience and the many features available for the price.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out outdated technology and uninspired styling. Even so, the Titan’s roomy cabin and work-ready usefulness make it a strong fit if you want a full-size pickup that balances capability with everyday comfort.

The market also shows 31.2% good or great deals, so you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the Titan as dependable, trouble-free, and a truck they can count on over the long term. The expert review also points to a strong warranty and notes that the truck’s performance, utility, and safety rank high.

Nissan’s 5-year/100,000-mile warranty adds extra peace of mind for used buyers. Even so, you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the truck was used and cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Titan?

At 68.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, frame, and interior condition, especially if you’re comparing trucks with similar prices. It also helps to focus on how well the truck’s equipment works day to day, since the Titan’s value depends heavily on getting the right mix of capability and features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trim has plain styling and halogen headlights, while upper trims add more chrome, upgraded lighting, and a more polished look.
• Powertrain: The 5.6-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission; rear-wheel drive is standard and 4-wheel drive is optional.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams.
• Infotainment: The Titan offers 8- or 9-inch touchscreens, with the 9-inch system adding Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review cites 16 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2020 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Titan is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, Pro-4X, Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but the lower trim is the most basic in appearance and equipment, so it makes sense mainly if you want the lowest starting point and plan to add only what you need.
• SV: This is the best-value trim. The expert review specifically recommends the SV King Cab 4WD, and the SV Convenience package adds extra technology and interior amenities, making it the smartest balance of price and equipment.
• Pro-4X: Choose this if you want the off-road-oriented version, with unique grille treatment, blacked-out badges, red tow hooks, and a matte gray tailgate finish.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the most upscale choice, with chrome-heavy styling and the most premium presentation in the lineup.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, which gives you a strong safety baseline even on lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 907 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,098, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $25,112 sits slightly below last year's $29,575.

That drop suggests the Titan has become more affordable on the used market, which can help you buy at a lower entry price. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than just model-year age.

Because the market has already adjusted downward, a well-kept truck with desirable features may hold up better than a rougher example. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2020 Titan has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. A rear-door alert also comes standard, and adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and 360-degree cameras are optional.

The expert review also notes improvements in body structure, standard driver assists, and additional airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners, which help explain the stronger safety score.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 brings major strides in technology, safety, and overall value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,434, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,112 average.
• It brings the most standard power, technology, and safety features in its class.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and meaningful refresh benefits. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative with a stronger standard-equipment story, the 2021 is the better path.
