Used 2020 Nissan Rogue for Sale near Oregon

How much does the 2020 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 6.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,016 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.67/5 from owners and a 6/10 from our experts. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, driving experience, cargo space, and gas mileage. That lines up with its practical, easy-to-live-with character, especially if you want a compact crossover that focuses on everyday usefulness.

The trade-offs are clear: expert testing calls out sluggish performance and unintuitive technology, and value for money is also a weak point. Even so, the Rogue’s broad appeal and familiar SUV packaging make sense if you prioritize comfort and convenience over excitement.

You’ll also find 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners’ feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, cargo space, and gas mileage. That kind of praise suggests the Rogue can be a reassuring daily driver if you find one that has been cared for properly.

Expert testing reinforces that it’s built around familiar, proven hardware rather than complexity, which can help keep ownership straightforward. The main long-term risk for used buyers is that condition matters a lot, especially if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because the Rogue’s value proposition depends heavily on condition, you’ll want to focus on how well the vehicle has been maintained and whether any accident damage affected its overall quality.

Pay extra attention to equipment differences between trims, since some features are only available higher up the range.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SV, and SL trims are separated by equipment, with the SL bringing the most upscale presentation and features. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more convenience and tech.
• Powertrain: You get a single 170-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, plus a choice of FWD or AWD. It’s adequate for daily use, but it is not quick, and fuel economy can fall short of expectations in real-world driving.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and a surround-view camera are available, depending on trim and equipment.
• Infotainment: Every Rogue includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a hands-free text messaging assistant. Higher trims can add SiriusXM, navigation, a Bose premium sound system, and NissanConnect Services with remote functions.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue is expected to return 29 mpg in combined driving in FWD form, though testing returned 24.9 mpg on a mixed loop.

Which 2020 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the simplest way into the Rogue lineup, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path to the model’s comfort and practicality. It’s the trim to choose if you care most about value and can live without the nicer upgrades found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it should give you the most balanced mix of equipment and price. If you want a Rogue that feels more complete without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to focus on.
• SL: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale Rogue experience, including the richer feature set and the more polished presentation. It suits you best if you’re willing to pay more for convenience and comfort upgrades.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, while ProPilot Assist and a surround-view camera are available depending on trim and equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,016 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,239, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $15,335 sits slightly below last year's $16,331.

That softer pricing suggests the Rogue has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a seller, that means your best outcome will likely come from buying well, keeping the vehicle in strong condition, and avoiding examples with accident history.

Because the market still shows meaningful inventory and a decent share of good deals, resale value will depend heavily on trim, mileage, and condition when you eventually sell. A clean, well-kept Rogue should remain easier to move than one with visible wear or a questionable history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Rogue safe?

The Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with three-star protection for the driver in a frontal-impact collision, and it does not earn a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking for the front and rear, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Rear Door Alert and Tire Fill Alert are also included.

You can add a surround-view camera and ProPilot Assist adaptive cruise control with lane-centering capability, depending on trim and equipment. The main caveat is that the Rogue’s crash-test performance and dated driver-assistance feel keep it from standing out against newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Dealers are likely to discount remaining outgoing stock as the redesign approaches.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,422, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,335 average.
• It brings a full redesign with a more polished interior and better overall refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price and are comfortable with the 2020 Rogue’s older design, it can still make sense as a value play. If you can stretch your budget, the 2021 is the better long-term choice because it delivers a more modern and improved overall package.
