Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxury features and advanced technology. For you, that makes it a practical choice if you want a three-row SUV with family-friendly space and useful capability. With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with strong performance, a smooth ride, and a spacious cabin that many buyers can count on. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition so you can reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the condition matches the listing. Focus especially on signs of prior body damage, uneven wear, and how the SUV drives and shifts during a test drive. If you want the safest buy, look for a clean, well-documented example with consistent maintenance records.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 945 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,946, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $14,946 sits slightly below last year's $17,703.

That price movement suggests the model has become more affordable for used buyers, which can also shape what future sellers can expect. If you buy at a lower entry price, you may have less depreciation left to absorb than someone who paid more when prices were higher. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want a well-liked Pathfinder with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price than last year. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 stands out as a sensible target when you find a clean, well-priced example.
