Overview

Nissan celebrates the 370Z's 50th birthday with a special 50th Anniversary Edition package for 2020. The 50th Anniversary 370Z gets either white and red or silver and black color schemes that pay homage to the famous BRE Datsun race cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The package also comes with red wheel accents, black painted mirrors, special interior and exterior badges, and special interior accents like red stitching and a leather or Alcantara steering wheel with a red stripe at the top.
The other big news for 2020 is that Nissan dropped the slow-selling 370Z roadster for the U.S. market. The sporty NISMO trim is still available with its body kit, larger forged alloy wheels, better handling, and bump in engine power. Other submodels for the 2020 Nissan 370Z include base, Sport, and Sport Touring.
Under the rounded hood of the 370Z is the familiar 3.7-liter naturally aspirated V6, which makes 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving the rear wheels. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, but a popular option is the 7-speed automatic.
With a manual, the 370Z will manage 17 mpg city, 26 highway, and 20 combined. With an automatic, it will manage 19, 26, and 22. The Sport trim and above get a limited-slip differential, while the NISMO version gets an 18-hp boost, a refined suspension, a strut tower brace, performance dampers, and better brakes.
On the inside, standard features for the base trim include keyless ignition and a 6-speaker stereo with Bluetooth. The Sport submodel adds a better Bose stereo, while the 50th Anniversary Edition offers leather-and-suede seats, heated seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4-way power driver's seat. At the top of the 370Z range, the NISMO gets leather-appointed Recaro seats with Alcantara accents.
The 370Z hasn’t been crash tested, and safety features are limited to a reversing camera and a tire-pressure-monitoring system.
With the new 50th Anniversary Trim, the 2020 Nissan 370Z is celebrating in style.

Great car. Syncrorev is nice. Pretty sparse on amenities but I know that is how Nissan keeps price down. Handles great and very quick. Will be great on open roads.

Is the 2020 Nissan 370Z a good car?
Yes — the 2020 Nissan 370Z earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which fits a car that prioritizes driving engagement over convenience. The overview describes it as a straightforward, old-school sports car with a strong enthusiast following, a tight cockpit, and a driving experience built around analog feel and driver involvement. It also stands out for its timeless styling, powerful V6, rear-wheel-drive layout, and available six-speed manual with rev matching, making it a strong fit if you want a sports car that feels special without being exotic. On the market, 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2020 Nissan 370Z reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also points to a reputation for reliability and easy modification, which supports its appeal if you want a sports car that is less about complexity and more about durability and enthusiast ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the car’s basic character and more about finding one that has been cared for properly, since condition and prior use matter a lot in a performance car.
What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan 370Z?
At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should start with a vehicle history report, then put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car has been driven or modified in a way that matches its age and mileage. Because this model is valued for its driving feel and enthusiast appeal, you should focus on overall condition and maintenance quality rather than just the lowest asking price.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan 370Z?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and willing to compare examples carefully.
- Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 60.0% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2020 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2020 if:
- 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the classic 370Z formula, the 2020 is a strong choice because it delivers the model’s core strengths: styling, engagement, and enthusiast appeal. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also widen your search to nearby years and compare condition closely, since the best value will likely come from the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
