Overview

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is one of the least expensive cars on the US market, competing with subcompact cars like the Chevrolet Spark, Toyota Yaris, and Nissan Versa. For 2020, the Mirage G4 sedan carries over nearly unchanged except for a new Limited Edition trim.
The Mirage G4 is a basic sedan that doesn’t call attention to itself. A new honeycomb grille does add some visual interest, and the new Limited Edition model gets 15-inch black-finished alloy wheels and black exterior mirrors.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find many new cars these days offering well under 100 horsepower, but if that’s your goal, the Mirage G4 is the ticket. Every trim gets a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine rated for 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) and a 5-speed manual transmission come standard, while a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is optional. Manual models are rated at 33 mpg city, 40 highway, and 35 combined, and CVT-equipped versions are rated at 35, 41, and 37.
The trim lineup consists of the ES, the new Limited Edition, and SE. Standard features include automatic climate control, a multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, and remote keyless entry. The Limited Edition adds heated front seats, gloss black trim, and red accents. The SE includes push-button start.
The Mirage G4’s infotainment system features a a 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth. Limited Edition and SE trims add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A Rockford Fosgate premium audio system is optional.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the 2020 model three top Good scores, an Acceptable for side impacts, and a Marginal for driver-side small-overlap front crashes. The Mirage G4 includes a reversing camera, and front and rear parking sensors are the only available optional safety features.
The Mitsubishi G4’s low price and above-average fuel economy may attract shoppers on a tight budget, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a value proposition, particularly when it comes to any trim above the base. Some rivals offer better features and safety credentials for only a slightly higher price.

I had owned the 2018 SE prior to this and unfortunately a deer ran into the side of my car and it was totaled, so this was my replacement and it definitely improves on almost every aspect of the 2018. PHENOMENAL gas mileage, very reliable, and great if you need a commuting vehicle or drive for your job. The 2018 didn’t have cruise control and was a bit annoying but they added that and made the speakers quite a bit better than before. Wish they would make them with leather seats but that’s okay, and the lack of a good center console on 2018, to completely taking it out on the 2020 seems kinda unnecessary and a bit annoying but if that is your only reason to not get it then you probably are being a bit too picky
