How much does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Prices have softened 15.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 778 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2020 GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It is aimed at you if you want a large, upscale SUV that blends S-Class-like comfort with family-friendly space and a long list of standard features. With 39.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 GLS is described as a polished, well-equipped luxury SUV with strong cabin quality and a refined ride. Its standard equipment list is broad, and the model’s comfort-focused design suggests it was built to serve as a premium daily driver. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a complex luxury SUV can be costly to keep in top condition, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then confirm that the SUV’s condition matches the seller’s description. Pay close attention to the cabin electronics, touch-sensitive controls, third-row access, and overall wear, since those are the kinds of areas that can affect your ownership experience most. A thorough inspection is especially important on a luxury three-row SUV where comfort features and technology carry a lot of the value.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 778 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,219, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $32,219 sits slightly below last year's $37,982.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the GLS offers a roomy cabin, strong luxury appeal, and broad standard equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $45,941, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $32,219 average.
• It adds a more upscale S-Class-style luxury focus.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and a lower entry price into the GLS lineup. If you are willing to spend significantly more for a newer model year and a more premium-feeling package, the 2021 is the alternative to compare. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the more compelling starting point.
