Used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Prices have softened 17.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 807 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2020 GLS is positioned as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It also blends S-Class-like comfort with some off-road capability, so you get a luxury family hauler feel rather than a traditional truck-based SUV. For buyers who want a large Mercedes with genuine passenger and cargo flexibility, that combination is the GLS’s defining appeal. With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive listing.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 GLS emphasizes comfort, space, and a long list of standard equipment, including all-wheel drive, air suspension, and advanced cabin technology. Its 48-volt mild hybrid system also helps smooth restarts and reduce fuel consumption, which supports everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can be costly to keep in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Pay extra attention to the condition of the third row, the touch-sensing controls, and the cargo area, since those are the kinds of features that can show heavy use in a family SUV. A thorough pre-purchase inspection matters most on a luxury model like this, where comfort and technology are a big part of what you’re paying for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 807 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,137, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $31,137 sits slightly below last year's $37,726.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale more dependent on condition, mileage, and equipment. If you buy well and keep the SUV clean and well documented, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. A softer market can also help you enter at a more favorable price, which may reduce the amount you need to recover later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $46,108, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $31,137 average.
• It adds multiple powertrain options and more performance-focused appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and a strong satisfaction signal. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year and broader powertrain choice, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
