At 68.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize any listing with clean records and consistent maintenance. A pre-purchase inspection is worth it here, especially if you’re comparing cars with similar prices but different condition histories. Focus on signs of wear, accident repairs, and whether the car still feels tight and well-kept on a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA's resale value?

The current average of $18,111 sits slightly below last year's $20,142.

That price decline suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For you, that means the biggest resale advantage comes from choosing a clean, well-kept example and avoiding overpaying today. A lower entry price can make it easier to limit your loss when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,631, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,111 average.
• It was completely redesigned into a more conventional small SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it costs less and is easier to shop for a deal. If you’re willing to spend more for the redesigned shape and a more traditional SUV feel, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
