Safety was also strengthened with Lexus Safety System+ as standard, adding features such as pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist, radar cruise control, and intelligent high-beam headlamps. The main tradeoff is that the NX was not as rewarding to drive as some rivals, and its features could be frustratingly dependent on packages rather than standard equipment.
