How much does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,076 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful tech features, while also calling out the value for money and safety equipment. For you, that makes the Tucson a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, everyday usability, and a well-equipped feel over sporty performance. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with repeated praise for the Tucson’s smooth ride, practical interior, and overall value. The same reviews suggest it is a vehicle many owners feel comfortable living with over time, especially when they prioritize comfort and convenience over excitement. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety if you choose a well-kept example and verify its history before purchase.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

At 66.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the seller cannot document service history. Focus your evaluation on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of wear that could hint at harder use or incomplete repairs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,076 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,811, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $15,811 sits slightly below last year's $17,233.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has become more accessible to buyers, which can help you if you are shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. A softer market often means future sellers need to be more competitive on condition, mileage, and pricing to stand out. If you maintain the vehicle well and keep it documented, you can help protect its appeal when it is time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,268, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,811 average.
• It is the final model year of the generation before a redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a healthy deal pool. If you are willing to pay more for the last year of the generation, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who want to stretch toward the newer model-year position.
