How much does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,056 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and value for money, and they also call out the available tech and safety features as major strengths. That lines up well with the Tucson’s role as a value-focused compact SUV for shoppers who want a roomy, comfortable daily driver without stretching their budget. With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing the Tucson as a vehicle they can count on for everyday use. Its reputation for being trouble-free is reinforced by the practical, low-stress ownership pitch and Hyundai’s generous warranty coverage. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

At 66.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. Then prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive, because condition can vary a lot from one used SUV to another. Focus on signs of wear that could affect daily use, and make sure the vehicle feels solid on a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,056 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,703, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $15,703 sits slightly below last year's $17,178.

That softer pricing suggests the Tucson is in a buyer-friendly phase right now, which can help you if you are shopping used but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current market shows that value-oriented SUVs can hold interest, but pricing discipline matters because buyers have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. The model’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, even as the market has cooled.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,207, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,703 average.
• It is the final model year of the generation, with a familiar formula and competitive tech.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a healthy share of deal-priced listings. If you are willing to pay more for the newer model-year position, the 2021 is the secondary path for buyers who want the last year of the generation and do not mind the higher asking price.
