Like most Hyundai products, the Tucson includes a good level of safety equipment. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a reversing camera all come standard. You can then add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, and pedestrian detection. The Tucson received top scores from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The compact-crossover field is as hot as ever, but the Hyundai Tucson provides a healthy dose of competition, offering plenty of value.
