How much does the 2020 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 8.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,060 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Hyundai Tucson earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and value for money, and they also highlight its extensive tech features and safety options. That fits a compact SUV that works well if you want a roomy, practical daily driver with a lot of equipment for the price. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers describe it as dependable for everyday use, with a comfortable ride and a practical ownership experience that many buyers can count on. The same feedback also points to a generally trouble-free feel, especially for shoppers who value comfort and utility over excitement. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how the vehicle drives and shifts in real-world use. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, since a clean, well-kept example is the one most likely to deliver the Tucson’s value-focused appeal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Hyundai Tucson?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,060 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,721, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $15,784 sits slightly below last year's $17,171.

That softer pricing suggests the Tucson has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you choose a clean, well-kept example, you may have a better chance of holding value than if you overpay for a higher-risk listing. Strong demand for practical, value-oriented compact SUVs can also help support resale when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,972, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $15,784 average.
• It is the final model year before a new generation arrives.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for the newer model-year position, the 2021 is the secondary path to consider.
