Used 2020 Honda Passport for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2020 Honda Passport cost?

Prices have softened 6.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 906 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Honda Passport earns 4.45/5 from owners and 8.83/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owner feedback repeatedly highlights comfort, spaciousness, a smooth ride, and useful cargo-hauling ability. The expert review also points to its stylish design and thoughtful interior functionality, while the Passport’s two-row layout and upmarket feel make it a fit if you want something practical without losing a more adventurous character.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and an infotainment system that can feel outdated. In other words, if you value comfort, utility, and a more rugged SUV personality, the Passport fits well; if efficiency and the latest tech matter most, you may want to shop carefully.

Good and great deals account for 37.9% of listings, so there’s still room to find a competitive price.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.45/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with strong comfort, spaciousness, and a smooth ride, and many owners also praise the strong V6 and the utility it offers for hauling cargo. The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by describing the Passport as composed and capable in a variety of driving situations, including highway passing and trail use.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that some owners have reported electrical issues, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Passport?

At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough inspection of bodywork, electronics, and interior condition. Because some owners have raised concerns about electrical issues, it’s smart to test every feature yourself and make sure the infotainment system, cameras, and driver-assist functions work properly. You should also pay close attention to maintenance records and signs of hard use if you’re considering one that may have seen trail duty.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Passport comes standard with a scratch-resistant matte black grille and bumper, 20-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in all-weather tires, black-rimmed LED headlights, chrome exhaust finishers, and gloss-black trim. The Elite adds perforated, heated, and ventilated front seats, a leather-trimmed heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, an illuminated beverage holder, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-position memory, and a moonroof. Lower trims can be fitted with Urban and Adventure packs that add crossbars, underbody spoilers, and running boards.
• Powertrain: Every Passport uses a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and there’s no hybrid or electrified version.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims can add dynamic gridlines for the rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.
• Infotainment: The base Sport gets a 5.0-inch display monitor, while EX-L, Touring, and Elite trims get an 8.0-inch Display Audio touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth, a USB port, a seven-speaker audio system, push-button start, and keyless entry are standard, and higher trims can add a 10-speaker audio system, satellite radio, two additional USB ports, a wireless phone charger, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models are EPA-estimated at 20 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. All-wheel-drive models are EPA-estimated at 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The large 19.5-gallon fuel tank allows for over 400 miles of range when the vehicle hits those mileage targets.

Which 2020 Honda Passport trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Passport is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Passport’s core rugged styling, standard Honda Sensing, and the 5.0-inch display. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it’s also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a more complete everyday feature set. If you want the Passport’s comfort and utility without stretching too far up the range, this is the one to focus on.
• Touring: This trim builds on the EX-L with more available convenience and tech content, and it’s the point where Honda Sensing safety technology and navigation can be added for an extra fee. Choose it if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for extras.
• Elite: This is the fully loaded version, with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, memory seating, and a moonroof. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and equipment and don’t mind paying for it.

Higher trims can add blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Passport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to find value.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 906 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,231, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $22,412 sits slightly below last year's $23,847.

That price movement suggests the Passport has softened, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. A lower current market average can mean you may need to price more competitively later if you own one for a short period. On the other hand, the model’s broad appeal and practical strengths can still help support demand among used buyers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.45/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Passport safe?

The 2020 Passport achieved good scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash test and evaluation, and it was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a birds-eye view. Higher trims can add dynamic gridlines for the rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection.

The main caveat is that the Passport lacks some of the fancier driver-assist technology found in some rivals, so if you want the most advanced safety tech, you should compare trim levels carefully.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.45/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model carries over unchanged and keeps the Passport’s rugged, comfortable two-row formula.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,509, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,412 average.
• It emphasizes space, all-wheel drive, and high ground clearance in a simple, practical package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,411, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,412 average.
• It adds some additional features while keeping the Passport’s adventurous, daily-use balance.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, inventory, and the Passport’s core strengths, the 2020 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to pay more for a slightly newer, better-equipped version.
