Used 2020 Genesis G70 for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2020 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 294 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Genesis G70 earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its excellent value for money, strong performance, and luxurious interior. The car also gets credit for acceleration and handling, which make it fun to drive, and for its distinctive style and premium feel.

The trade-offs are familiar: outdated technology, limited backseat leg room, and limited trunk space. In practical terms, this is a strong fit if you want a compact luxury sport sedan with personality and driving enjoyment more than maximum everyday space.

Only 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some attractive opportunities but not an overwhelming surplus.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, trouble-free, and a car they can count on, with praise centered on long-term satisfaction and strong value. The expert evaluation also points to a five-year/60,000-mile warranty, a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and included maintenance with pickup/dropoff service and loaners.

That warranty coverage helps reduce ownership risk, but used buyers should still verify service history and condition carefully because long-term reliability depends on how the car was maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Genesis G70?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with a lower price than the rest of the market. Focus on signs of wear in the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on condition and equipment working as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims lose the quilted leather and richer cabin materials found on Prestige and Sport models, while the top Sport trim adds a power closing trunk lid.
• Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder makes 252 hp and 260 lb-ft, while the optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque; the V6 also brings a limited-slip rear differential standard.
• Safety package: Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor come standard, along with a driver’s knee airbag.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is 8 inches, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the interface is dated compared with newer systems.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T AWD is rated at 20/27/23, the 2.0T RWD automatic at 22/30/25, and the V6 test car averaged less than 21 mpg over 600 miles.

Which 2020 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Advanced, Elite, Prestige, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Advanced: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the G70’s style, standard safety, and core luxury feel at the lowest starting price.
• Elite: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 15-speaker Lexicon stereo, parking sensors, heated front seats, and a power steering column.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want more comfort and convenience, including a heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers.
• Sport: This is the most aggressive choice, with the strongest visual presence and added hardware such as a power closing trunk lid on 2020 models.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features already included on the G70.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,058, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $20,059 sits slightly below last year's $22,506.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, the key question is whether the car’s strong value proposition and premium appeal can keep demand steady as it ages.

Because this model has a distinctive image, strong owner satisfaction, and a reputation for delivering a lot of car for the money, it should remain appealing to shoppers who want something different from the usual luxury sedan choices. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment are likely to hold interest better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2020 G70 is a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor. A driver’s knee airbag is also included.

Navigation is optional and adds fast voice recognition, live traffic data, and a head-up display. One caveat is that the 2020 G70 has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Should I buy a 2020 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs standout style with strong value and a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $19,651, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $20,059 average.
• It is the first all-new Genesis G70 and already feels surprisingly competitive.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,101, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $20,059 average.
• It adds minor updates and a reshuffled trim lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, style, and driving enjoyment, the 2020 is the sweet spot. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model year.
