Used 2020 Genesis G70 for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2020 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 291 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Genesis G70 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its excellent value for money, strong performance, and luxurious interior. The car also gets credit for acceleration and handling, which support its fun-to-drive character.

The main trade-offs are outdated technology and some practical compromises, including limited backseat leg room and trunk space. For you, that means the G70 makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury sport sedan with style and personality more than maximum cabin utility.

Only 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market has some attractive opportunities but still rewards careful comparison shopping.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with owners highlighting strong performance and a premium experience they can count on over time. The same feedback also emphasizes the G70’s luxurious interior and overall value, which helps reinforce confidence in ownership.

The expert review also backs up that impression by describing the car as a premium, well-oiled machine that should reward its driver for years to come. On the ownership side, the included maintenance and long warranty coverage further support peace of mind for used buyers.

For you, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about whether the car’s smaller cabin and older tech will still suit your needs after the novelty wears off.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Genesis G70?

At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and prioritize any listing with incomplete service records or signs of prior bodywork. A pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile on this model because condition can vary meaningfully from one example to the next.

Focus on the cabin, infotainment behavior, and overall wear, since the car’s value depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and equipped. If you want the best ownership experience, make sure the features you care about are actually present on the specific car you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims lose the soft leather and quilting found on higher trims, while Prestige and Sport models add quilted Nappa leather and a richer cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder makes 252 hp and 260 lb-ft, while the optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: The car includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping function, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor as standard.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is 8 inches, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T RWD automatic is rated at 22/30/25, the 2.0T AWD at 20/27/23, and the tested V6 setup averaged less than 21 mpg.

Which 2020 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Advanced, Elite, Prestige, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Advanced: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the G70’s core style, standard safety, and value without paying for extras you may not need.
• Elite: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 15-speaker Lexicon stereo, parking sensors, heated front seats, and a power steering column.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, since it adds a heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers.
• Sport: This is the most feature-rich choice, adding a power-closing trunk lid and the most aggressive presentation in the lineup.

The safety package is especially strong across the range, with standard driver-assistance features that make even lower trims well equipped.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Genesis G70?

The market looks moderately favorable for selective buyers who are ready to move when they find the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 291 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,076, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $20,337 sits slightly below last year's $22,646.

That decline suggests the G70 has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the model’s value is already established, but pricing pressure remains if the market stays soft.

Because the car combines strong value, a premium feel, and a distinctive image, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. Higher-spec cars with desirable equipment are likely to hold attention better than stripped-down examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2020 G70 is a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), for scoring the best ratings in six crash tests, headlights, and for its standard forward emergency braking.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite is broad and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping function, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor. A driver’s knee airbag is also included.

One caveat is that the vehicle has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), so you won’t get that additional federal crash-test benchmark here.

Should I buy a 2020 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs strong value with a distinctive design and a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $19,717, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $20,337 average.
• It is a strong first effort with fresh engineering and an upscale mission.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,131, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $20,337 average.
• It adds minor updates and keeps the G70’s style-and-value appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, style, and ownership confidence, the 2020 is the primary pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2019 is the value-first alternative, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer example.
