Used 2020 Genesis G70 for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2020 Genesis G70 cost?

Prices have softened 13.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 291 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Genesis G70 earns a 4.62/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its excellent value for money, strong performance, and luxurious interior. The car also gets credit for acceleration and handling, which help it feel fun to drive, while the distinctive styling and premium cabin give it extra appeal.

The main trade-offs are outdated technology and limited backseat leg room and trunk space. In practical terms, this is a strong fit if you want a compact luxury sport sedan with personality, performance, and a premium feel rather than maximum everyday space.

Only 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards shoppers who compare carefully.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, with strong value, solid performance, and a premium feel that holds up well over time. The expert evaluation also points to a well-sorted chassis and a powertrain that feels rewarding for years to come.

The included maintenance coverage and long warranty help reduce early ownership stress, which is a meaningful plus if you plan to keep the car for a while. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the car’s condition and service history match its premium promise.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Genesis G70?

At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision or has incomplete service records. Focus on body condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s equipment and features still work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim has a smaller 8-inch touchscreen and lacks the richer cabin feel of the higher trims, while Prestige and Sport models add quilted Nappa leather, curved door trim, and a more upscale presentation.
• Powertrain: The base car uses a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, while the optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping function, forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and the system uses an 8-inch touchscreen; the interface is dated, but the basics work well.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T AWD is rated at 20/27/23, the 2.0T RWD automatic at 22/30/25, and the V6 setup averaged less than 21 mpg in testing.

Which 2020 Genesis G70 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Genesis G70 is offered in 4 trim levels: Advanced, Elite, Prestige, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Advanced: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the G70’s core style, performance, and standard safety without paying for extras you may not need.
• Elite: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger luxury feel, since it adds the 15-speaker Lexicon stereo, parking sensors, heated front seats, and a power steering column.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want more comfort and convenience, including a heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers, along with the richer cabin presentation.
• Sport: This is the most performance-focused choice, with larger Brembo brakes, two-stage adaptive dampers, wider rear tires, and a power-closing trunk lid for 2020.

The safety package is broadly standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Genesis G70?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so selective shoppers can still find good value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 291 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,075, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Genesis G70's resale value?

The current average of $20,075 sits slightly below last year's $23,135.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the key implication is that resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment because the model has already moved off its earlier price peak.

If you keep the car well maintained and choose a desirable configuration, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Genesis G70 safe?

The 2020 G70 is a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping function, forward emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor. A driver’s knee airbag is also included.

Should I buy a 2020 Genesis G70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs standout style with strong value and a fantastic warranty.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $19,641, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $20,075 average.
• The 2019 is the first ground-up Genesis G70 and delivers a surprisingly strong luxury-sport debut.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,266, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $20,075 average.
• The 2021 adds minor updates and keeps the G70’s style, value, and safety appeal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the right pick if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and premium character. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model-year example.
