Used 2020 Dodge Durango for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2020 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 10.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,332 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2020 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Dodge Durango earns a 4.56/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise the Durango for its spacious interior, comfort, and smooth driving experience. The user feedback also points to towing capacity and performance as recurring strengths, which fits a three-row SUV that aims to do more than basic family duty.

The trade-offs are that it can feel a bit high-priced and some shoppers wish it had more features like a sunroof. The overview also frames it as a better fit if you want space and attitude rather than the freshest cabin design or the most polished usability in the class.

With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.56/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a smooth driving experience and a vehicle that many owners feel good about using as a family vehicle, which supports the sense that it can be dependable in everyday use. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Durango is built around a straightforward, familiar formula, and the cost-effectiveness notes point to a base V6 that delivers the best efficiency in the lineup.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that you should expect a vehicle whose appeal depends heavily on condition and maintenance history rather than a fresh design.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Durango?

At 70% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the Durango’s appeal depends on its mix of space, power, and features, condition matters a lot when you’re comparing similar-priced listings. It’s also smart to focus on whether the equipment level matches what you want, since some desirable safety tech is optional rather than standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT comes with the basics, including an 18-inch wheel setup, a 7-inch digital instrument panel screen, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker stereo. The GT adds 20-inch wheels, a sport-inspired grille, remote start, LED fog lights, dual exhaust, and a power rear liftgate, while the R/T adds leather-and-suede upholstery, heated front and rear seats, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The Citadel leans luxury with chrome exterior touches, polished aluminum wheels, a power moonroof, second-row captain’s chairs, and premium leather upholstery. The SRT is the most aggressive version, with a unique look, ventilated front seats, and performance-focused seating. The GT is the best-value trim if you want a stronger feature set without jumping to the V8 models.
• Powertrain: The SXT, GT, and Citadel use a 3.6-liter V6 with 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 360 hp and 390 lb-ft, and the SRT gets a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. All engines use an 8-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive depending on trim.
• Safety package: The Durango includes airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and trailer sway control. The Technology Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision avoidance, and lane-departure warning, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection are also available. These features are not standard, so trim and package selection matter.
• Infotainment: The SXT and GT use a 7-inch touchscreen, while an 8.4-inch touchscreen is optional on the GT and standard on the other trims. The system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and higher trims add navigation, SiriusXM Travel Link, and premium audio.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V6 with rear-wheel drive returns 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 21 combined. With all-wheel drive, it returns 18/25/21. The 5.7-liter V8 returns 14/22/17, and the SRT returns 13/19/15.

Which 2020 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2020 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core space and tech without the higher price of the more feature-rich trims. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you’ll want to compare its equipment carefully against the GT.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a stronger visual presence, remote start, LED fog lights, a power rear liftgate, and an 8-way power driver’s seat. It’s the trim to target if you want a more complete daily driver without moving into V8 territory.
• Citadel: This is the comfort-focused choice, with chrome accents, polished wheels, a moonroof, second-row captain’s chairs, and premium leather. It suits you if you want a more upscale family SUV and are willing to pay for it.
• R/T: This is the step-up performance trim, pairing the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with heated seats, leather-and-suede upholstery, memory settings, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. It’s the right pick if you want stronger acceleration and a richer feature set.
• SRT: This is the top performance model, with the 6.4-liter Hemi V8, performance-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, and SRT performance pages. It’s for you if the Durango’s muscle-car personality is the main reason you’re shopping it.

The Technology Group package adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision avoidance, and lane-departure warning, but those features are not standard on the Durango.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,332 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,849, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $20,849 sits slightly below last year's $23,289.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a well-kept Durango should still attract interest, but you may need to price competitively to move it. Strong equipment, desirable trims, and clean history should help support value better than a bare-bones or heavily worn example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.56/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2020 Dodge Durango earns a four-star rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash testing and four-star ratings in all other phases. It earned Good ratings in all IIHS crash tests except driver’s side small-front overlap testing, where it scored Moderate.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Durango comes with airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and trailer sway control. The Technology Group package adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision avoidance, and lane-departure warning, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection are also available. The main caveat is that these driver-assistance features are optional rather than standard, so you need to check the equipment list carefully.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.56/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers multiple powertrains, easy-to-use technology, and a spacious cabin.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,847, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $20,849 average.
• It adds a new infotainment system and the available Tow N Go Package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because prices are softer and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for newer tech and a fresher update, the 2021 is the better long-term alternative.
