How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 4.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,124 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.8/5 user rating, and our experts rate it 8.7/10. The model scores 10/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its performance, stunning looks, and value, and they especially like the incredible handling, acceleration, and mid-engine design. The expert review also highlights its powerful engine and excellent value for money.

The trade-offs are clear: poor visibility and limited cargo space. That makes it best for you if you want a dramatic sports car experience and can live with the practical compromises that come with it.

Good and great deals account for 34.2% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to sports-car shoppers: strong performance, impressive handling, and a design that owners are happy to live with over time. The expert review also reinforces that sense of confidence by describing the car as a world-class sports car with a well-sorted driving experience.

Chevy also includes the first scheduled maintenance service for free, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about how the car was driven and maintained, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a sports car like this can attract hard use even when it looks clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, wheel and tire wear, brake condition, and signs of curb damage or track use. You should also pay close attention to visibility-related equipment and any signs that the car has been modified.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Stingray 1LT is the stripped-down starting point, while 2LT and 3LT add the equipment many buyers will want. The 3LT brings a more upscale interior, and the higher trims also add useful visibility and convenience features that help offset the car’s poor rearward visibility.
• Powertrain: The Corvette uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 horsepower in standard tune, and output rises to 495 hp with the Z51 Performance Package or the optional performance exhaust. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard, and the car also offers multiple driving modes.
• Safety package: A high-definition reversing camera and rear parking assist sensors are standard. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror. Base-trim buyers miss those extra visibility aids.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar connected services, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth pairing. The 2LT and 3LT add satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series premium audio system. Wireless smartphone projection is not included.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is rated at 15 mpg city, 27 highway, and 19 combined.

Which 2020 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: Stingray 1LT Coupe, 2LT, and 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• Stingray 1LT Coupe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Corvette experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the performance and design first, and you’re willing to give up some convenience and visibility upgrades.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the features that make daily use easier, including the head-up display and the extra safety and convenience equipment tied to the higher trims.
• 3LT: This is the most upscale choice, with the most premium interior treatment and the fullest feature set. It suits you best if you want the most refined cabin and don’t mind paying more for it.

The safety package is more complete on 2LT and 3LT, where you get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,124 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,868, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $61,868 sits slightly below last year's $64,599.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. The current trend suggests the car is holding value reasonably well for a high-performance model, but not in a way that guarantees appreciation.

Strong demand from enthusiasts should continue to support resale, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history. If you buy carefully and maintain the car well, you should have a better shot at preserving value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette does not earn a top crash-test headline here, but it does come with a useful set of standard and available driver aids.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

A high-definition reversing camera is standard, along with rear parking assist sensors. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror. Teen Driver technology is standard, and OnStar Safety & Security can add automatic crash response, crisis assist, and emergency services with a paid subscription.

The main caveat is that rear visibility is very poor, so the extra camera-based aids matter more here than they do in many other cars. You should treat those features as important, not optional, if you want the easiest ownership experience.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The mid-engine redesign makes this year feel dramatically more exotic and supercar-like.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $63,222, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $61,868 average.
• It adds a convertible option for a more visceral open-air driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value and the biggest leap in character, the 2020 is the better buy. If you’re willing to spend more for the added appeal of the convertible, the 2021 is the more emotional choice.
