Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and service records. What is the 2020 BMW X7's resale value?

The current average of $31,039 sits slightly below last year's $35,688.

That price movement suggests the X7 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss later. Demand should also remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and luxury-SUV appeal.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $28,593, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $31,039 average.
• It offers BMW’s first dedicated three-row X7 layout.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,776, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $31,039 average.
• It adds a mild-hybrid powertrain for a small efficiency boost.
